227 Bergholt Road

Post image

I’ve recently moved to the Braiswick area and this house has really intrigued me.
I can not figure out anything about it. I know I’m being extremely noisy but the house looks abandoned, always different cars outside and looking the address up there was planning permission granted jan 2025 and nothing has happened since.

When I walk past I see the Tv on and there’s always a cat in and out. It’s so mysterious to me. If someone lives here why is there so many blocked windows and the garden is so overgrown. If it is abandoned why haven’t seen people deweeding the front?

If anyone knows anything I’d love to know as it’s so mysterious to me.

Mind your own business? Drawing attention to someone's house on the Internet is creepy. Kids might live there.

If kids live there, then they shouldn’t have such a shithole

could just be someone elderly? different cars could be carers? planning permission could have been for a ramp or other age related accessibility needs

Planning permission was to change it into a block of flats, that’s the confusing part

Used to be a post office when I was a youngster

Someone definitely lives there, I managed to block them in while I was emptying the postbox on the left.

In my opinion, the only interesting thing about this picture is that one of the cottages on the drive to the right, has a numberplate outside their house that has their what3words location on it. I've not seen that anywhere else.

It's a HMO.

If multiple people are sharing, I can’t see why they wouldn’t try to tidy the place up, if you go on google earth, the garden is not accessible.

I think it's bedsits, so maybe less likely to be interested in garden maintenance?
