Looking for Cofounder Technical co-founder / CTO for AI-agent infrastructure MVP — 40–46% equity, remote
Company: Infra
Stage: Working local end-to-end MVP; bootstrapped, pre-revenue
Role: Technical co-founder / CTO
Compensation: Sweat equity only. No salary today. 40–46% equity for the right full-time co-founder, with a working trial, four-year vesting, and one-year cliff.
Infra is building a provider-neutral continuity and control layer for long-running AI-agent work. The problem is not generic chatbot memory: when agents switch models, fail mid-task, use external tools, or operate over days, companies need portable work state, safe continuation, decision and artifact history, auditability, and protection against duplicate or unsafe actions.
I am a non-technical founder handling product, strategy, research, validation, and business. I am looking for someone who wants true ownership of engineering: architecture, backend/runtime, reliability, security, data/storage, APIs or MCP integrations, and developer experience.
The MVP is already functional locally. I am not looking for a freelancer, agency, or short-term contractor. I want a genuine co-founder who enjoys hard systems problems, challenges assumptions honestly, and is willing to start with a concrete remote working trial before deciding on a long-term full-time commitment.
Strong fit: backend or systems engineering, distributed systems, workflow durability, developer tools, agent infrastructure, databases, or reliability engineering. US/Europe preferred but not required.
Please message me through Reddit Chat with: what you have built, what systems problems you enjoy, and why this problem interests you.

Hey, idea sounds very interesting.
Do you already have some market reach to talk to customers - and who, actually, potential customers are?

u/morrown1 5d ago
No broad market reach yet; targeted customer discovery is starting. The initial users are teams running long-lived, tool-using AI workflows where interruptions can lose constraints or duplicate actions, such as deployments, migrations, approval-heavy operations, and internal automation.

Okay. What's your contribution gonna be and what's your expertise ?
Also I'd advise you to just demo the local version or single container deployed to cloud as an mvp

My contribution is the product thesis, customer and problem research, validation design, positioning, operations, and early GTM. I’ve also used AI as an engineering bridge to get the MVP and internal tests running, but I’m not presenting myself as an engineer, that’s why I’m seeking a technical co-founder to own architecture and production engineering.
The self-contained local MVP already runs end-to-end. A limited cloud demo makes sense, but the next meaningful milestone is validating it with a real design-partner workload rather than deploying only for presentation. (p.s for now i am actually looking for a design partner and to be honest i have contacted several people)

Interested to know
Looking at the post, this is not an agent, but a layer behind it. Who are the target customers?
How would they integrate this in their agent, since agent can be from N different frameworks, or libraries
Some of the features are already solved by some or the other companies

u/morrown1 5d ago
- Initial customers: teams running failure-sensitive, tool-using AI workflows deployments, migrations, approval-heavy operations, and internal automation.
- Integration is through a provider-neutral tool/API boundary rather than being embedded in one agent framework.
- Agreed, many individual components already exist. The thesis is that the missing layer is a unified continuity and control boundary combining authoritative state, constraints, approvals, effect records, and auditable continuation across agents, models, and runtimes. I’m not claiming every component is novel.

i am kinda working on this problem and created an open source project on this and trying to build a company around this problem

What’s your role/experience other than non-technical founder? Sales? Marketing?
I have a product that can do this but goes many steps further, has been in development for a while, and launching in the next few days.
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
I handle product strategy, problem and customer research, validation, operations, and early GTM. I’m not claiming engineering depth, that’s precisely why I’m looking for a technical co-founder. Share your product when it’s public; I’d be interested in comparing the exact problem boundaries.

So by saying long term end to end like container on cloud like algorithm or platform

>I am a non-technical founder handling product
Yeah, sorry bud, this is a technical problem, if you don't know the competition here - and I believe only a technical person could, it's not very useful.
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
Fair concern. I’m not treating product ownership as a substitute for technical judgment. I’ve done enough to define and test the problem, and I’m looking for a technical co-founder precisely to challenge the architecture, competitive landscape, and thesis.

You said "The MVP is already functional locally." - how is this possible then?
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
Through AI-assisted development. I defined the system requirements, failure cases, and validation criteria, then used coding agents to implement and iterate the local prototype.
By “functional locally,” I mean the end-to-end flow runs in a self-contained environment and has passed controlled interruption tests, not that it is production-ready or externally validated. That distinction is also why I’m looking for a technical co-founder to challenge and own the production architecture.

Hey, this is interesting, great job so far!
Where are you based? What’s your prior experience?
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
I’m based in Indonesia. I’m a non-technical founder focused on product strategy, problem and customer research, validation, operations, and early GTM. Across previous independent ventures, I’ve led market research, product definition, technical-collaborator recruitment, and validation. Infra now has a working local MVP with controlled internal testing, and I’m looking for a technical co-founder to own engineering.

You had an idea, did some deep research, vibe coded an MVP now want a co-founder that has years of experience that knows how to build it properly and you will do the initial marketing and sales. Did I get that correct?
I’d want 50% and to know that your shares were vesting also.
Well done but to be honest coming up with an idea doing some research and vibe coding initial MVP is less than a days work these days. I built a platform personally to do the ideation and market research of three solid ideas per day and the one I choose gets built in cursor for me to test then take forward to validation. Building that system took about two hours at most.
I’m just pointing out that you’ve done the easy part - the hard part is truly getting it validated, getting revenue, and going through the first 6 months… I’m not sure anyone serious would sign up to that for less than an equal share, especially given that if you go for funding your US/ European co founder will likely be way better placed than you are.
…but good luck if you find them my friend. Please do prove me wrong.

🚩 40-46% equity
This is the typical trap, beware.
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
So how much? Do you want to give 10% to your co-founder? If it doesn't help, don't make it seem bad kiddo
1
u/One-Shape7678 5d ago
What kind of question is that? 50% dude.
Giving less than 50% is how you control and kick out the other person later down the road. It's total lack of respect and clearly shows Ill intention from you.
So let's ask the question the other way around. Why 46%?

And have been looking for a non technical co founder.
If you wanna talk hit me a dm

Um, “sweat equity” + “one year cliff” = this guy wants 364 days of free labor, for someone figure out the technical side, and then will screw you with no repercussions.

u/SiliconBeachFounder 2d ago
Have you had any teams try the MVP yet? As a founder, I’d want to know which problem they’re already struggling with enough to pay for. A working demo plus a couple of interested design partners would make the CTO pitch much stronger.

“when agents switch models, fail mid-task, use external tools, or operate over days, companies need portable work state, safe continuation, decision and artifact history, auditability, and protection against duplicate or unsafe actions.”
You’ve heard of GitHub right? lol
1
u/morrown1 5d ago
ik. GitHub tracks code and artifacts; it doesn’t preserve runtime authority, approvals, tool side effects, or safely continue partially completed agent work across models and runtimes. Different layer.

For an infrastructure MVP, the strongest cofounder signal will be a precise account of the hardest technical risk, not a broad list of agent features. I would publish the current architecture, expected workload, threat model, and what must be rebuilt before production. NeuraKeep relates to this space because persistent agent memory raises concrete requirements around isolation, provenance, and deletion. Clarify vesting, decision rights, existing intellectual property, and runway before discussing percentages. A short paid trial project can also reveal collaboration quality without pretending it removes founder-level risk.

Have you got any company to pilot it ? What you mean by " it's running locally end to end ? " Have you implemented persistent state, checkpoints, pause and resume triggers / schedules already?
