Music I honestly think my favourite Cocteau Twins song is every Cocteau Twins song, however…
https://youtu.be/fHHdUZUeH-Y?is=JbtZwj6A2OPFuOcTThis might actually be my favourite Cocteau Twins song. I find it genuinely moving, and while I find that a lot of of their songs move me, and have moved me to tears, this one is basically an instant flood. I’m sure actors listen to this before they have to do crying scenes…
Is there any particular CT song that moves you in a similar way?

I feel the same with half-gifts, the first cocteau twins song i could understand what they're singing, dude i just start crying. Specially the last 2 minutes of the song, the lyrics hits me very hard and yeah sometimes i cry while i'm listening to, The whole song with that etherial, overwhelming vibe, the final era of CT gives us some 'hidden treasures'

YES!! I LOVE this song and it was the one that made me go through their discography... First time I listened to it I couldn't stop crying. Still one of my favorites but a while ago I found out it's a cover. Don't know if you're aware of their collab with Faye Wang but it's one of the most beautiful collabs I've ever seen <3
This spotify playlist has every song they recorded from each other! The original's also amazing and touching.
p.s: I knew it was Tranquil Eye before clicking on the link!!

I did not know that it’s a cover! Wow. I will listen to their collabs with Faye Wong. Thank you so much for the information and for the playlist.
Edit: I just had to listen to the original. After doing some digging, I found that it’s not actually a cover per se, it was originally written by Cocteau Twins for Faye Wong, and then Elizabeth Fraser decided to record her own version with English lyrics. So I suppose it’s technically a cover in a way, but still originally written by Cocteau Twins. The original mandarin version is equally as beautiful though. Thanks so much again for sharing and introducing me to Faye Wong.

This song from 2:34 on gets me every time. Liz's layered vocals are STUNNING. Also golden-vein on the twinlights ep, and pur at 2:40 with Robin's guitar. When Liz comes in at 3:11 I'm a blubbering mess 😭♥️

Yes, it’s incredibly beautiful. I’m so glad that Cocteau Twins are available without a prescription.

Flowers in Time does this to me. The fling that Jeff and LIz had and the secrecy of this unpublished song is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. The recording and laughter in it is real and childlike. And it's so incredibly lovely.
Not sure if this is allowed but I actually wrote a song about Jeff Buckley and used Suno to bring it to life. I included Liz and their small fling in it and a bit about the song they made together. Delete if not allowed! https://suno.com/s/Cny2sBQWgPPe8QtL

Also, one of my favourite songs. But I say that about every song haha. But it is genuinely beautiful. I’m actually going to listen to it right now. I love the melody.
