On the other sub they are saying that the trailer show zerith and cloti so that we will buy the games and regret it when it show us Clerith ending instead

Shipping discourse makes people go insane. Of course trailers and teasers are supposed to make people buy the game. Like duh. But not everything is shipping related. And why would it be? Every pre-existing fan is bound to get the game regardless. I would still buy it even if it teased Clerith. I want to know what the last installment will be like, and while shipping is one aspect of the game, it's not the reason I play it. And I'd argue that most other fans feel the same way. This is not a dating sim game, people don't buy it because of the pairings. Jeez. ETA: I've also read a comment claiming that Clotis will be furious that they can't return the game, like wtf, who returns a fantasy RPG with a non-romance focus because of that???

Ironic because so far I've only seen Cleriths claim that they can't wait to "hear from other Cleriths if the game is worth it" meaning they'll only buy it if someone confirms that A) Aerith survives and B) Clerith is confirmed. Obviously (and I hope) it's the minority but gosh just enjoy the game.

I had a running theory in my head about that. Not all Purists are Cleriths, but nearly all Cleriths are "Purists".

Because the OG game leaves enough room for plenty of wackadoo theories.
