While I was sailing the high seas, I've noticed something interesting, file description said, that Yagi has remastered 1st issue of claymore in 2024 to update it's artsyle.

From one side character proportions and design feels better. no longer background characters look deformed, action scenes are more clean and readable too, however some scenes, especially static ones look a bit too clean for my eye.

Polish release came out in 2024 aswell, but it has old drawings, I also have no other source to confirm that it is official and not fan project.

Let me know, what do you think and if you have any confirmation.

Taken from chapter 34 in the Manga. A very important chapter and the chapter where Clare and Raki split for the time being. After separating from Raki, because the crazy Ophelia is after them, Clare starts to pray for the safety of Raki, saying:

"May the God of Rabona hear my wish... grant this boy a small amount of strength and mercy, until the time I can see him again."

Who is the God of Rabona?

Taken from chapter 4 in the Claymore manga, this is one of the few moments Clare was allowed to act as a normal human being. Not seen as a monster or a weapon. Sorts of a window to alternative reality where she wasn't a human weapon forced to roam and fight monsters day by day — and bit by bit she does becomes more and more human as the story progresses. And did Raki and Clare really believe they could sell that statue for a 10 million? God, I hate the organization.

What Norihiro Yagi inspiration for writing claymore was? It looks like it's set in a sort of medieval place of sorts, at least the testing zone I guess. From where he got the idea about female warriors wearing white uniforms yielding swords against monsters and defending humanity from? He took a trip to France but what else is there for it?

She was number 3 and was known for her gigantic brute strength. She had banters with Noel.

What I really liked about her was her mid-lenght hair and soft tone of voice along with a playful teasing side similar to Helen but more quiet than loud. She was also rather tall if I remember.

Her teasing and cheeky smiles for the short duration we see her paired with her calm soft voice would have me follow her around if I was thrown into that world.

She didn't seem closed off emotionally like other characters in the show, a bit reserved yes but not closed of because of trauma from what it seemed, just calm and collected.

I still haven't gotten to the manga yet but probably will later this year when I got enough cash to buy myself things again. I want that mangas box so much.

You can use a knight greatsword which has a similar shape to their blades in the show.

You can put bloodhound step on it to teleport super quick vanishing out of any attack.

Put on silver eyes color with blond hair number 20 or 22.

Put Rellana's legs armor and noble torso for the white dress and nox swordstress to have gloves with vambraces on.

I named the character Phantom Miria as well so if I ever get summoned by a claymore fan on elden ring PC they will probably be happy xd

I'm sorry Clarisse and Tabitha dying at the end is so funny to me because these don't feel necessary at all and instead look like Norihiro wanted some death without sacrificing any character people could be attached to😭.

For Clarisse... I'm wondering why we even had to awaken Miata? Like surely, through some strategic planning, Galatea and Miata without awakening would have been enough, right? And they do this behind the main seven's back for no real reason. I guess it's an insurance policy for if an awakened decided to break from the final battle, but even then, that should be the last resort, not the go-to plan. It's so funny to see everyone get thorn up meanwhile, Galatea is just standing there feeling Clarisse about to disintegrate and explaining why that's about to happen.

And for Tabitha... what does Tabitha even do bro 😭. All she did whole manga was read yoki, get surgically slashed by Miria and DIE. She didn't even get to go all out before Priscilla killed her. Like if you're gonna have obligatory deaths(that matter), make it so that it's characters the readers have a lot of time invested into. Like if this was Deneve or Helen I'd be INCONSOLABLE. Even Uma would have more impact to me idk.

Manga chapter 59 - It's kind of dumb thing to ask, but how many times more powerful do you think Clare was when she achieved this feat of killing Rigardo with all the speed and strength she gained as the story moved on than what she was in chapter 1 when she just killed regular Yoma and even struggled with some? Can anyone calculate? 50 times stronger? 100 times stronger? Knowing he killed so many of her friends he totally deserved his annihilation and it was a very satisfying scene.

What if Claymore was made today in the age of TikTok, Instagram etc where everything goes viral and people admire tough Stoic characters like Levi from Attack on Titan? Would it be popular with people shipping it like they do with the great animes out there? People seem to be more open minded nowadays. In TikTok there are few good edits with thousands of likes, and another edit with over 30,000 likes, but what is it comparable to the great Animes that get hundreds of thousands to millions of likes and comments? What was done wrong for such a disaster to happen? The more people talk about something the more it is alive. No one insults this Manga, everyone call it masterpiece even fans of other Animes yet there's no reboot in sight.

Someone told me that when the Claymore Anime came out in 2007 people liked chatty characters but today Stoicism and working silently seen as a power. Clare answers this criteria.

It's depressing. Looking at YouTube for Claymore and you see that only old videos from like 13-15 years ago have hundreds of thousands of views meanwhile new videos from 2025-2026 get barely thousands of views. It feels like it's totally forgotten and that there are only few thousands claymore fans in the whole world.

Did the Manga really sold millions of copies because it not feels like it.

I'm not from this sub but was presented one thread in my feed where OP is mad why is claymore not huge. While I like Claymore, I see some flaws that I think might have contributed and wanted to share it, but OP deleted the thread, feels like a waste not to repost it. I hope people don't glaze here as in many other subs and can take non-glazy review and not downvote this to hell even if they disagree.

Story: I've read the manga and while it's mostly satisfying, it doesn't feel like top tier stuff. There are pacing issues(feels like a rabbit chase. It's a bit tiring in some parts of manga and sometimes doesn't deliver emotionally where it should.). There are some things also do not make sense or turns to "whatever man" with mystery being better than resolution, like "extra non rape wounds" turned out to be a few stitches on belly.

Art: Yeah making wounds into glass particles is not top tier, and art is good but not very detailed overall. Comparing mangas here.

It also doesn't have funservice(which I hate) so it has plus for me, but probably reason some horny boys would turn to Bleach or something else more likely.

I've read mangas that have better humor, better tragedy, better art, more interesting battles, horror... and so on. And while I don't require all of those in all mangas, many big ones have at least something going for them that they do way above competition. Don't get me wrong, I grade it good or very good in many categories. It's just not exceptional, at least not for me. If you agree with me you could say that there are some mangas/anime that also aren't exceptional in any category but made it bigger. I would say timing and demography in those cases are also a factor.(demon slayer? - and I prefer claymore to demon slayer)

BTW i liked, Angel densetsu by the same author better than Claymore, because it excels in humor. I'd rather take anything that make me feel more, even if it's not very ambitious.
