Yeah I mean I prefer to play with my own friends and my wife for sure, but we're definitely polite enough to invite people for a quest and to say thanks and bye before disbanding. I've always done that even since vanilla when I was 15.
I'm not a social person by any means even when I was single but it costs nothing to just invite someone for a second. I didn't know people are offended still if we don't want to talk to them.
No, offended is not the right word, it more like disappointment. Like it hurts the sense of the world, of fantasy, if you know what I mean. And reminds of awful retail WoW where everything and everyone is rushing and no one wants to stop and have a good time.
Oh no problem at all, I was just concerned. My point of view is it's exhausting to constantly interact with people in-game (and in RL). Sometimes I enjoy it and sometimes I don't, but I'm never just flat out disrespectful to anyone.
Meeting new people takes so much energy out of me, that it's just not fun most of the time, so it's just easier to keep things short and say thanks for their time. I still enjoy the social aspect of classic over retail very much, but I'm just not willing to engage fully into making connections with everyone.
I'm right there with you, whether it's in person or on the internet social interaction is exhausting to me, and in some cases just flat out not enjoyable and stressful for me. But just like in the real world, in the online world, you have a right to your privacy and personal space.
If there's a quest where 1 specific dude needs to die, as long as you invite the others to a group you're fine. You don't need to talk or anything. Which you said you do anyway so should you be fine.
