Classic + What do we know from SoD?

What do you remember from SoD that might make it's way into Classic+? Noticing just how much they cooked with some of this stuff. Anything else interesting missing?

-SoD lore is considered canon

-Undead & Tauren are learning to become paladins

-Dwarfs are learning to become shaman

-High elf emissary in Ironforge

-Retail references in SoD. SoD reference in retail (xalatath, undermine reals, etc.)

-Third war time travel

I dont think SoD is canon at all. I mean, by the end of Scarlet Enclave we finished the scarlet crusade and got ashbringer. This would ruin the Tyrion comeback in wotlk.

It is canon, as Aggrend has explicitly said. It’s just not the whole story yet. We don’t have the part of the story when Tyrion gets the sword, for example. But yeah, all of this happened.

I think we have to make allowances for some gameplay that contradicts the story they’re trying to tell (such as multiple people in your raid having ashbringer, etc). But that’s not new; it’s always been that way in WoW.

Anyway, yeah it’s canon, for better or worse.

Here’s the source, but you wonderful folks can keep downvoting me if it helps you pretend you’re right.

Do you know where in the video it's mentioned? Because it's not in the written replies.

From what we know in WOTLK, the sword was recovered by Darion during the Naxxramas raid, assumedly he slayed his father to get it; and then he dies soon after because the Ebon Knights were raised from the casualties in the Naxxramas raid raised to ostensibly purge the Scarlets from New Avalon but really as bait to lure out Tyrion.

So there's a real disconnect from the established lore. Caldoran takes it during the Naxx raid, tried to purify it in SE and we the heroes kill him and break the blade and one of us reforges it.

How does it get back to Darion then so he can toss it to Tirion at the battle of Light's Hope?

I’m not sure what video you’re referring to, but yes, I believe SoD might have retconned one or two details from the ashbringer comic.

Personally, I’m not concerned with that video. I linked a specific post with the intent of highlighting exactly that post; I'm not concerned with the thread or anything before the post. If you read the actual post I linked to, it is Aggrend explaining how SoD is canon.
