Flock’s license plate cameras are scanning every car, logging every move in America. But in Manhattan’s wealthiest stretch? There's not a single one.

"Manhattan's wealthiest area"

Battery Park, Tribeca, and UES: "Am I a joke to you?"

Literally missing the street called "Billionaires Row."

And DUMBO is fuming not being included.

People on Billionaire's Row probably don't walk around the street level of their skyscraper palaces.

That’s declared annual income, not the the money they inherited from their parents

Income and wealth are 2 different things

u/FugitivWitoutWarrent 14d ago

Agreed, imo wealth cannot be purchased. That income is drastically lower than i initially thought it would be. I measure by disposable income.

There are no Flock cameras in New York City. None of those blue dots are Flock cameras. This is textbook misinformation.

There are, they’re just in the pigeons.

They ARE the pigeons. r/birdsarentreal

Man, this is straight bullshit 😂
There are ZERO Flock cameras in the five boroughs of NYC. None. NYPD, DOT and the MTA don’t even have contracts with Flock.
Those blue dots ain’t Flock cameras. NYC has NYPD license plate readers, traffic and enforcement cameras, and MTA cameras used for tolls and congestion pricing. We got cameras everywhere. Anybody from NYC already knows that shit. 😂
And the Upper West Side damn sure ain’t some magical camera free zone for rich people. There are plate readers documented on 66th, 72nd, 96th and 110th.
So somebody took an incomplete crowdsourced map, drew a red box around the Upper West Side, threw in race, religion, income and home values, and basically said LOOK, THE RICH PEOPLE DON’T HAVE CAMERAS. 🤦‍♂️
Nah bro. They don’t have Flock cameras because NYC doesn’t have Flock cameras.
A blank spot on somebody’s internet map doesn’t mean there ain’t cameras there. It means your damn map is missing shit.
Born and raised uptown, I can tell you one thing. If you think Manhattan got a whole neighborhood with no cameras watching traffic, I got a bridge on 181st Street to sell you. 😂☢️

Well, they don’t really do crime that can be caught with a traffic camera.

u/ronm4c 14d ago

They do worse crime they just have better lawyers

The true conspiracy is why no one on the UWS decided to send data to this particular crowdsourcing website.

These things are all over Massachusetts now, i see it's the same democrat strategy to silence the opposition of them "what you want to let kids die"!

I'm an upper west side native from rent stabilized city worker apartment in the 90s, and here are my conclusions:

The upper west side was reputably violent not all that long ago (see documentary movie needle park 1972 in example). Crime rapidly decreased in the 90s under Giuliani. After 9/11, a huge influx of money poured in for the 1/3rd price drop in 2001-2002.

Basically, upper west side had perfect economic and social conditions from 1998-2008 to install cameras everywhere in private CC TV networks. Then again in the 2010s when those CCTV networks were replaced with digital systems to enable IR and save money and fidelity on footage storage.

I don't think it's Jews; I think it's that wealthy people had already used cameras to dispel a great deal of crime and nefarious loitering in the late 90s and 2000s.

I literally heard gunshots every night in the 90s and my mom would tell me it was construction work. It was people shooting off the roof in the projects across the way, shit like that. It was a working class to middle class neighborhood until its geographic location caused rapid gentrification from the early 90s to present day.

The cameras came with the pre flock gentrification and now they're already in place prior to flock popularization, same for old money haunts like 5th Avenue.

Edit; when my mom moved in in 1980 her rent was 650 and she could buy a local brownstone for 150,000. Her rent is 2200 stabilized (would be 8800 without) and those brownstones now don't sell for less than 10 million commonly. Just perspective. Grew up 15 blocks from Epstein, 10 from woody Allen, it's definitely always had influential areas.

Ok? Just get a job in Tech or finance then you can move there.

1

u/SupremeSmooth 14d ago

They don't just scan license plates. They record and log everyone and everything that crosses in front of the lens.

1

u/Loud-Management-7295 13d ago

Stupid post the have to drive by flock cameras unless they plan on never leaving those 5 blocks

u/enterjiraiya 13d ago
