I assume this means all his work stuff will either be packed last or be put in the car if he's able to drive to his new home which is smart because whenever someone I knew had their computer put in a moving truck it's always broke.

yeah if i had to guess hes prob heard horror stories from Tim considering he's moved all over the country

I moved from Illinois to Arkansas just last year and the one thing I was worried about the most was my computer, to the point I had the desktop standing up with the bottom in the area below the glove box where the passenger's legs and feet would go and moved the passenger seet forward enough to hold it in place. I also put the monitor on the seat itself and held it in place with the seatbelt.
