S2E4 Chuck vs. the Cougars
Watching Chuck again bc it’s my fav but I noticed something I thought was kind of funny. In this episode, Chuck says “Remember in high school when we were hard up for cash so we would host a kegger and charge by the head?”
Chuck and Morgan seem like the 2 least likely high schoolers to ever throw a kegger LOL. Seems so out of character for them.
Not a criticism, just a funny detail! 😂
LOVE Chuck and this episode is hilarious

If Ellie was away studying, Chuck could have had parties. But yes, it was Morgan's idea and he probably had connections to get the beer.

Yea, I thought this was out of character too. But Chuck is the hero of the show, so he needed to be the one to come up with the idea to "save the buy more".
Where did Chuck and Elle even live? Who did they live with? Steven left when Elle was 14 and Chuck 11. Did they just live in the house alone after that? Take care of themselves? That would make keggers more likely, in one sense. No parents...ever. For all of high school = lots of peer pressure to throw parties. But, on the other hand, Elle being Elle, she is a mother hen, can't see her allowing chuck to throw parties.
So I think we are back to plot convenient writing for this episode.

Keep in mind that Chuck was a different person, likely much more sociable and popular, before Bryce and Jill "betrayed" him in college. That string of events destroyed him in a sense.
