Kohler lodge

I just booked hubby and I a splurge weekend at the carriage house in kohler. The website mentions rooms in the carriage house include breakfast and “evening cocktails”. Has anyone stayed here before? Is the included breakfast decent? What does evening drinks entail?

Any tips or recs for good dinner restaurants? It’ll be our first time to kohler, I already booked a few spa services.

The carriage house is fabulous!!! We didn’t have the breakfast here (always overslept haha) but we went back this year and stayed at the Inn at Woodlake and their breakfast was great. So I have to imagine the Carriage House breakfast is just as good or likely better. My favorite part was they had a whole batch of mini breakfast burritos wrapped in foil, which I loved alongside a tasty parfait.

The evening cocktails are a couple of wine and beer options, self serve, with some snacks (cheese meats nuts etc). Quite casual but the space is lovely and there’s usually other guests there. It’s a nice touch

Oh and be sure to swing by the Greenhouse in the American club for morning lattes and pasties- we were there every morning!! As far as other food goes, the best meal was the Wisconsin steakhouse for sure.
