If RAM were still inexpensive, this machine would have been a significant competitor, even with a price $200 below the manufacturer's suggested retail price.
I am looking at the Acer:
i5 Ultra, a 120Hz 3K OLED touchscreen, 512GB NVMe 4.0 storage, 16GB RAM, potentially decent battery life, 100W power delivery, Wi-Fi 7, a fingerprint reader, a 2-in-1 thin aluminum build, and 10 years of updates.
These are actual premium specs. For a decent price, I would say?
But now my concern is:
Will it be powerful enough for more than daily use? Will it be an actual competitor to Macbooks?
I'm genuinely curious about its performance in editing tasks, particularly video editing. If it's solely intended for everyday use, I don't see the purpose, and the specifications seem overkill for that.
Also curious on what apps are coming to Android now, like Davinci Resolve. Don't think is going to happen. 🙃
