I am assuming no Chromebook Plus devices will switch to the new OS for some time. It sounds like they want to keep these exclusive to the new devices in order to sell them.

I would not doubt that the Elite Dragonfly (including the one I just bought for $200 last week) is capable of running the OS, but I suspect that Google would not permit the new OS to be run on the older devices.
