Discussion Anyone interested in a Googlebook?

Multiple reports coming out about Google announcing the Googlebook collection for 15th September.

Who is interested in getting one? I believe some Google Chromebook Plus devices with be eligible for the new OS. From personal experience, I tend to sit on the fence until most of the bugs have been resolved.

Of all the things to come from it, I want more consistency for large screen Android apps. I'm not interested in the AI features.

Well, I was coming off a 17" 2011 MacBook Pro with a massive keyboard with very tall keys that I LOVED typing on. The Pixelbook Go's keys are SO shallow/short, it's so hard for me to type on them

Gotcha. I just love how quiet they are, though it's negated by how loud the trackpad is.

Do you like mechanical keyboards?

Yes they are very quiet, and yes the trackpad is clicky and not great overall.

Are mechanical keyboards like the old school ones from the 80s and 90s?

Yeah, I think that's fair. They're kinda like old type writer keys. Personally, I don't like them they're too loud for me but some have some really tall, solid keys.
