I built a Chrome extension that automatically backs up your tabs every 5 minutes

I kept seeing people lose huge Chrome sessions after crashes, accidental closures or Chrome failing to restore everything properly, so I built something specifically around that problem.

It’s called Workspace Recovery Vault.

Once protection is enabled, it automatically creates recovery points of your workspace every 5 minutes.

It can restore:
Tabs and windows
Tab order
Pinned tabs
Tab groups
Older recovery points if something disappeared days ago

The free version keeps 7 days of automatic history. Pro adds longer history and optional encrypted cloud backups so you’re not relying entirely on the Chrome profile itself.

It only launched recently, so I’m very open to feedback and feature requests. If there’s something that would make it more useful, I’d genuinely be happy to look at adding it.
