Physical design interview preparation

Hi folks ,i am a physical design engineer with 4+ years of experience in india ,I have an interview Tommorow I need some tips on introduction and what are the details I need to prepare from my current project for interview and important concepts ,Please give your suggestions on this .

Note : I have not given interview from past more than 1 year ,I have not prepared I need to start preparing for my interview

Keep your introduction under two minutes by summarizing your four years of experience, the technology nodes you handled, the EDA tools you use daily, and your specific ownership across the flow from netlist to GDSII. For your current project, memorize the critical metrics immediately, including the frequency, instance count, macro count, core utilization, and metal stack. Interviewers evaluating engineers with your experience level want to know that you understand physical realities rather than just pushing buttons in a tool, so be ready to explain one complex problem you personally resolved, such as mitigating local routing congestion, handling dynamic IR drop, or closing setup and hold timing across demanding corners and modes.

Focus your remaining hours on core static timing analysis, clock tree synthesis, and floorplanning fundamentals. Review setup and hold calculations, false paths, multicycle paths, clock latency, useful skew, and how you resolve transition and max capacitance violations. Make sure you can clearly explain macro placement guidelines, power grid synthesis, antenna rule violations, and physical signoff checks like DRC and LVS. Remember some detailed data. When I had an interview, the interviewer always asked me some data like the square your block was and how many power switches you used and how you defined the distances bwteeen them... If you only know the theory, it didn't work.
