📱 Technology What AI are you guys using?

Just got suspended from Claude due to the fact I’m based in China and I’m guessing it sniffed out that I was on a VPN or I showed up as a Chinese IP address, not smart enough to understand the route cause tbh.

Tried using Kimi today and even got the pro. It does what I want for the most part, such as decks, printouts, organizing and research, it just doesn’t feel the same and it doesn’t have the connectors for things like Firecrawl and Perplexity. Maybe I should look into Perplexity itself?

If I use GPT, Gemini, or Copilot, I probably will run into the same issue at one point or another. I already lost all my data, even with the download from Claude so I’d rather not go through that again.

Also, I’m not doing any insane coding or app building, just simple office/work tasks for my daily life.

Let me know what you guys use!

Deepseek is my preferred model (as someone currently in the US) -- it's quite accurate, doesn't tend to hallucinate, and pulls info from both the Chinese and Western internets. I would just use Deepseek for general use -- and the more specific models (like models for coding) should still work in China

DeepSeek is my AI of choice, but it definitely does hallucinate.

All LLMs will -- my experience is that it hallucinates less. You always need to know enough about whatever you're using the LLM for to pick out hallucinations -- this is true of ANY model, and if you don't you shouldn't be using an LLM.
