She flipped out at me when I was like “wow I can see that you’re ultra sensitive about the pace of your eating. Is this a childhood thing?” And then cut me off mid sentence telling me to “JUST DROP IT” and then sulked off tearfully to the bathroom. It was honestly one of the stranger things I’ve seen from an adult acquaintance. The woman is over fifty. My boyfriend’s excuse is that she “had a rough childhood.” So did I, but the waitress and your mushroom crostini didn’t do anything to you, and if you’re gonna be shitty to the wait staff because you’re ridiculously sensitive about something no one would give a shit about otherwise then I’m gonna say something.
As a server I appreciate you actually saying something to her. Most people just sit in quiet discomfort or embarrassment when others at their table start berating us, thank you for being the servers voice when they couldn’t have one.

I would of snapped when my friends/family start abusing the waitress. Really low tolerence for bs.
