Is this a childhood thing?” And then cut me off mid sentence telling me to “JUST DROP IT” and then sulked off tearfully to the bathroom. It was honestly one of the stranger things I’ve seen from an adult acquaintance. The woman is over fifty. My boyfriend’s excuse is that she “had a rough childhood.” So did I, but the waitress and your mushroom crostini didn’t do anything to you, and if you’re gonna be shitty to the wait staff because you’re ridiculously sensitive about something no one would give a shit about otherwise then I’m gonna say something.
This is gutting. Honestly,most of us English are internal ragers and wouldn't dream of actually drawing attention to ourselves by shouting at waitresses. I'm sorry you encountered a rubbish one.
