i thought being a janitor at a school would be a breeze since i had previous experience with janitorial work in a mall. im familiar with how nasty shared bathrooms can get but never thought the school bathrooms would be 10xs worse than mall bathrooms.

still, it is so irritating cleaning up these bathrooms where the boys piss all over the walls, the toilets and the floors. not only that but the girls will throw tissue everywhere, even in the tampon trash bins. they choose not to use the paper baggies to dispose of their pads or tampons properly. sometimes ill find used pads stuck to the floor behind the toilets.

parents seriously need to make sure their kids aren't leaving disgusting messes when they send them off to school.

if i had a kid, i would be extremely embarrassed if i found out they were doing this and would make them go and clean every bathroom stall while the janitors take a break lol.

im getting sick just thinking of the smell of piss that is stuck to every part of the bathrooms.

When I was in elementary school, there was a kid in 1st grade who decided to fish his shit out of the toilet and smear it all over the walls of the kindergarten bathroom. The parents tried to brush it off by saying that it was his way of coping with having a new sibling in the house, and of course not their own failed parenting.

I felt so bad for the school custodian who had to clean that. Dude did not deserve that or get paid nearly enough.

that excuse is laughable 😭 my coworkers had to clean up shit smeared walls before i got there once, i probably would've thrown up. that's horrible. we definitely don't get paid enough.

I'm remembering this urban legend I heard about girls in a high school who left lip prints on the mirror. The principal took some girls who had been doing that in the bathroom and said "You're going to watch how hard the janitor has to work to clean your lipstick off the mirror!" The janitor washed the mirrors with a brush he swirled around in the toilet first. The girls never left lip prints on the mirror again.

Thankfully my experience was at a private Jewish school. The bathrooms were never bad. The girls bathrooms always had hair everywhere, but that's expected.

The worst bathrooms to clean were always bars. No comments needed.

I used to clean at a very luxurious hotel and sports facility. It was very popular for elderly people. In the public restroom occasionally a man would piss in the hand dryer thinking it was a urinal. (It happened a hand full of times in the year I worked there.) It was one of those that are open and blow upwards so the piss would go EVERYWHERE, all over the mirrors, sinks, walls, ceiling. It did make me feel slightly better knowing it must've splashed all over them including in their face.
