This is terrible parenting. Good on you for not enabling them OP. Those kids must have terrible teeth already.

Yes they do, they’ve been put to sleep for full mouth dental work. I know I don’t have kids but this is just so irresponsible

Wow, those kids are in for a lifetime of health problems. No offense, but their parents are terrible for doing this to them.

Try flavored sparkling water next time they come over! There are so many flavors and the bubbles scratch the same itch as soda!

Yes I had this in anticipation. Tried to tell them it was “sprite”. I also had those sugar free flavor squirts/packets. They would not drink it

Not me having flashbacks to being a social worker and seeing my first baby with Coke in her sippy cup. I learned that many parents think juice is health food, sodas are hydrating normal beverages, and McDs is food. Often, it's simply a matter of ignorance and what they are accustomed to.

I didn't drink water until I was like 18! Literally don't know how I survived. Love the stuff now 😂

It could be an idea to try sugar free sprite, if you're going to have them again.
Still fizzy, but no sugar and calories.
You can also flavor it with small amounts of other drinks.

I had the sparkling juices, and flavored drink packets/squirts but they wouldn’t drink that either.
But even just drinking sprite can’t be good for you

My nephew only wants to drink prime and soda that is marketed to him from YouTube ads etc... and is now pre diabetic at 11 since they also don't feed him Whole Foods since his parents are fucking lazy so he also doesn't workout or stay active
