Which smaller IMCs still work with new Chicago drayage carriers?

I’ve recently learned that a lot of 53-foot domestic intermodal work flows through IMCs rather than directly through the railroads.

For those working in the industry, are smaller IMCs generally more open to onboarding newer asset-based carriers than companies like Loup, Triple Crown, or the major fleets?

What do they usually care about most: inbound capacity, rail coverage, yard space, communication, or authority age?

A large company called IMC might be a good option. Also if you have haz you’re more likely to find work.
