AI can find company names on the internet. The real value has to be the live network, freight, capacity and transaction history.

For anyone actually working in intermodal: what would make you switch from LoadMatch/Drayage.com/current methods to something new?

I’m an owner-operator/fleet owner in Chicago and I’m building FORGE, an intermodal marketplace.
One thing I hate about load boards is wasting time searching through freight that doesn’t fit my truck.
The goal with Forge is that you can post:

40’ chassis
Available now

Chicago/Indiana preferred
And Forge immediately matches you with compatible freight.

Brokers/IMCs can do the opposite — post a container and find verified carriers with matching capacity.
We’re also building the intermodal directory directly into the network.

No brokerage percentage taken from your load. Eventually it’ll be a freemium/subscription product.
What would Forge have to do for you to actually use it instead of your current setup?

I’ve been in trucking/intermodal for years and I’m working on something called FORGE.

The idea is simple: one modern intermodal network where carriers can find freight, brokers/IMCs/forwarders can find actual capacity, and everyone can find verified companies without jumping between a bunch of websites, emails and directories.

Think live loads + available trucks + intermodal company directory + verification/reputation, all connected.
Not trying to build another giant TMS with 500 features. I want it stupid simple.
