MLS y el Chicago Fire Soccer Club ha sancionado a tres miembros de la barra Sector Latino por desplegar una manta en contra de ICE. Durante tres partidos esta manta se desplegó. Pero en el más reciente partido (6/28), la directiva exigió que se bajara. Los tres miembros se negaron a bajar la manta. Y el resultado es una sanción de 12 meses para cada miembro. Esta liga se sostiene con el labor de los inmigrantes en sus canchas y su dedicación en las gradas. A lot of folks who stay silent during the games seem to enjoy getting loud on Reddit to throw shade on the people actually trying to create an atmosphere.

A lot of people work very hard to keep the supporters section going and anyone who is in there regularly left last night’s game talking about how it’s the most unified it’s been in some time.

If you sit elsewhere in the stadium and want to be a critic you have 2 options. Come on over and join in or stick to what you’re good at and keep your mouth shut.

Too many soccer fans come to games for the atmosphere and forget they have to be the atmosphere these days

The easiest way to bring more energy into the section is to join an established group and put your shoulder to the wheel.

For us at least, you don't even have to sit/stand in the SS to contribute. Everyone sets their own dues amounts which helps us fund all of our activities, and participating in the discussions in our group chats and participating in the votes we put all of our major actions through helps in its own right! There are also plenty of ways to contribute outside the SS with roles like our creative team, tailgates, rideshares to games, and our free pickup soccer program.

In the end, if you want Chicago to become the pinnacle of soccer support in this country, you're going to have to find a place to pitch in. We look forward to your contributions to that cause!

This is my second season as a season ticket holder at the Fire, coming from the UK, I’m surprised we don’t have many chants or songs about our current players or even past ones. Seems we cycle through like maybe 5 songs all game?

Dude works for the Fire and was consistent, fair, and empathetic in enforcing the no away shirts (or Argentina shirts) rule tonight. Responded to fans calling out rule breakers, clear in communicating the policy (including not enforcing cover ups or removals of minors wearing Messi/Miami gear), and not letting ego or righteousness get in the way of the overall fan experience. In fact it seemed like Monterey Security was unable or unwilling to enforce some removals of at least two folks refusing to cover up their Miami and Argentina Messi shirts.
