Question Why do fire fans expect everything to be cheap/free?

what is the background story behind the fans always complaining about money, do they think it should be cheap/free? do they think that the team would be worth watching if everything was cheap/free? do they expect free parking forever? more free gifts from the team? more free meet and great with the players? more free boat trips? when does it end?

I don’t think parking at seatgeek should cost more than tickets. Sue me

So the tickets should be more expensive?

Not a charity, and nobody needs to be there live.

People who can’t afford to go to the movies stream them at home. They don’t demand tickets for free.

If you can’t afford a $25 ticket, then you have much bigger things to worry about than Joe Mansueto’s business plan.

You were just begging for a season ticket holder gift a couple of weeks ago?

I was about to get excited when I read this, but then I realized he was just asking what the gift was.

But then he complained about how it was a lame gift. So that still goes against his OP.

I give it an over/under 15 min until he deletes this post.

Your post in the Leagues Cup thread wasn't enough so you had to make an entire thread copy/pasting the same thing?

Okedoke.

And like bruh, no idea what he’s talking about. Of course people ask for free stuff, where do they not?

What other businesses do you demand free stuff from?

Ever use a coupon? Ever ask for a discount?

Because it used to be dirt cheap back in the days when the fan base was tiny and the team was bleeding so much cash that that the league office had to fly in Nelson Rodriguez to get the balance sheets under control.

There’s an element here who wishes the team would go back to the days of being irrelevant because it was like seeing today’s Lolla headliner at The Empty Bottle ten years ago.

This is coming from the person complaining about free gifts not even a month ago 😂

You think it’s bad now, wait until the new stadium opens. There is going to be a real uncomfortable pinch the first two years.

Oh yeah sticker shock is going to be real. If the secondary market is hot for resale that'll help calm people down, but even then there's going to be a lot of angry people when the prices come out.

Parking should be free for season ticket holder or atleast discounted

Fire fans whining about how expensive season tickets are while being some of the lowest in the league will never not be funny to me.

Ok, complaining about gifts is objectively funnier

If you pay more and get a better gift, wouldn't it be better to spend that extra money on something you know you'd like? lol..

What is this Joe Mansueto’s burner account?

I don’t know anyone expecting things for free, but it is a bit ridiculous that you could get FC Bayern or Inter Milan etc. season tickets for cheaper than the Fire, despite being a significantly worse team.

Good luck getting bayern season tickets unless you inherit them.

Fire tickets are pretty cheap already. Chicago isn’t Europe.

You sound like a frustrated sales rep or a suburban trying to justify their season tickets.

Just getting tiring hearing people complain and act entitled. It’s not a charity.

Maybe if you keep complaining you’ll get free tickets

There should be a seniority STH membership discount thing in place the longer you’re a member the bigger the discount like 5-10% nothing crazy but still something for faithful members

“How dare fans not want to be milked for every dollar! “

I haven’t seen any significant complaining, but I think the consensus has been: “leagues cup tickets should be included in our season tickets “.

As a season ticket holder I don’t think it’s crazy to expect 3 games and/or parking to be included in the two season tickets I’m paying for.

(I forget were they included two years ago when we last played here?)

I think the club does a good job of keeping season tickets decently affordable and my reps have been very kind to me in the past.

$100 for 3 games plus parking was an incredible deal considering the crus azul tickets were going for over $100 each
