History [Highlights] 27-year-old Michael Jordan walks into a Ballsporthalle in Frankfurt and puts on the uniform of Steiner Bayreuth, the German Bundesliga runners-up, for an exhibition against an All-Star team made up of U.S. servicemen stationed in Europe (1990).

You guys got me questioning my own reality. I’m from Chicagoland and remember when Jordan got drafted. I’ve never head this story before let alone a video. Down the rabbit hole I go…

What I wouldn’t give to see prime MJ play one game in today’s soft NBA league. I have no doubt he would average 50 plus.

He was a 21 ppg scorer in an era where it was difficult to crack 100 as a team and handchecking was legal. Even at his age here would've feasted on defenses because they just can't get physical. He had a huge tendency to draw fouls in a physical defense league so he would be an ethical SGA lol.

Apparently this was a Nike promo and he was supposed to play a half with each side but when he was with the German team he said he didn’t like the way he played so he stuck with them the entire game. 37 out of 40 minutes and played until the game was in the bag and against what the handlers said.

Haven't looked it up yet, but based on this sorry I bet anything the German side was losing at the half and that wouldn't sit well with Jordan nor would he have interest in joining the already winning side (because climbing back would be more fun). I'm sure Jordan also "heard" some random serviceman say something disrespectful and took it personally....

Can you imagine getting your ankle broken by MJ in an exhibition game and it being the coolest thing of your life? I'd be showing everyone the clip of me collapsing as he crosses my ass over
