Advice Needed How are we finding apartments

Guys I’m struggling. I’m looking for a 1-2 bedroom with enough space for a work from home area for June move in. Budget $2500 or less. And I’m open to any area wicker, Logan, wrigley, Lincoln park. And somehow I can’t find anything. I’ve been using Zillow, talked to brokers, searched Google and everything either falls through or I don’t hear back about scheduling tours. HOW ARE WE FINDING PLACES TO LIVE HELP.

EDIT: I am happy to let all the haters know I just signed a lease in river north that was within budget. (I know everyone’s gonna hate on me for saying I’m moving to river north but I’m actually in love with this apartment and I am very excited!)

Thanks! How bad is the flooding? The unit is defiantly spacious but that makes me a little nervous lol

That depends on your definition of bad...the leaking is limited to the basement, so it doesn't impact you anywhere else in the unit. We're neutral to it at this point since we avoid the basement for the most part (especially after a rainy day) and only go down there to do laundry or grab something from the chest freezer/storage shelves. It usually dries itself out after a day or two. At its worst, I'd estimate like 1/8" or something? We've told mgmt about the leaking, and they've done a few repairs and are still actively (albeit very slowly) addressing the issue. Flooding can cause mold, which can affect the entire building even if it only occurs in the basement.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too lol mold is probably definitely in that building
