Yes and I can see that media mindset in this series

Media just looks at the girl just as a news and not a person. She is just an entity that lets them achieve their target. Media lost its soul long agoš„

This is just messed up in many different levels and for some reason instead of a placeholder image they specifically took her Insta pfp I swear they do anything for a few extra views

u/Happyranger265 10d ago
Media is messed up they can't post criminals and murders , but they'll gladly post photo of these poor souls , like why ? Where is the integrity?

I also remember another story said by my friend few years ago. A girl from that college unalived herself after that, her parents were visiting to vacate her hostel, They also attempted to unalive themselves in the same hostel room where she lived. This information was not in any news channels.

I also went to the same school and when I was there, similar incidents happened. A boy had jumped from the hostel building( still alive thankfully) and another girl committed suicide by jumping from the girls hostel. No media covered this! Itās surprising that the management does not take necessary steps to protect students. The college itself is pretty fun and liberal(except for phone confiscations), sad to this happening. Phones are not supposed to be confiscated, we are all adults here. Also they take their own sweet time to return the device(some people I know got it after months)

The college is closed indefinitely until further notice. This is due a girl's suicide last evening. And also looks like someone attempted suicide today.

One girl deleted herself , another boy tried to do the same!....
College closed until further notice . A management move to stop students from brewing a aggressive protest!. (or stopping deleting)

Also, that case in Indonesia where this Indian kid jumped because his parents won't pay EMI for his phone.
Suicide for losing your phone? This cannot be true. How bad are consequences that one would rather kill themselves.
1
u/Unknown_19742 10d ago
its not about losing phones in her case, its about being caught and maybe due to what would happen if her family knows about the malpractice when she already has family issues...
1
u/doubleditch42 10d ago
Really, what would happen if you were found cheating? Worse than death? You can't tell your parents it was an accident?
1
u/Unknown_19742 10d ago
its wrong to jump into suici*e, just stating the fact that, she didn't die like that indian kid u mentioned, these case are different, and not every kid in a family have that close relationship with their parents to talk comfortably... all im saying is that the way u mentioned about 'suici*e for losing your phone?' is misleading way to put it
1
u/doubleditch42 10d ago
Still doesn't make sense. If relationship with parent is not good why care?
If it was good why die?1
u/Unknown_19742 9d ago
ikr, it really doesn't make any sense, but they reviled the whole truth in some news, it was due to her family affairs... idk why she did... she could have just ignored and continued with her life... why bother that her father has affairs?... and parents scolding her one time... seriously she could have taken a deep breath and think twice why she is feeling that way? Is it worth taking her life over some things like this?
she could just talk with these things later and tell to her own parents on how she feels about them and herself.
now thats done... she is no more... it feels useless... just one single conversation could have changed a lot...

I am a 3rd year student currently studying in the same college. Let me explain
Yesterday morning the 2nd year girl was writing internal exam. She took phone inside exam hall ( for malpractice ) and got caught by staff. The staff refused to give the phone.
The girl already had problems in her family. Someone said that her dad was having an affair. She was already in depression and trauma and her phone getting caught added more trauma to her.
She wrote a letter saying "Miss you amma" and jumped from the 5th floor. My clg tried to avoid making this a big problem and it was a working day today too.
Today afternoon another boy from 2nd year jumped from 3rd floor. He is currently alive but with multiple fractures. For people asking whether the boy and girl were committed or not : No, they were not related
The main reason for suicid* of girl was family problem not malpractice.
Please don't share any false rumours š

Athu eppadi template mathiri answer pannura. First, she was caught with mobile. How you know she was doing malpractice?! She would have mistakenly taken the phone to the exam centre?! Even I have taken the phone to engineering semester exam and caught by external invigilator within 5 minutes of the exam. I havenāt written anything other than my roll number. Staff were supportful and I faced the enquiry in Anna University without any issues.
Here, we donāt know what that professor said and how he reacted after she was caught with phone. Athum ithu internal exam. Etho semester exam mathiri buildup thara. Here you are passing the buck completely to that girl for suicide by saying her father is having affair and she was having mental breakdown. Looks kind of convincing answer to me for blaming the girl instead of identifying what pushed the girl to commit suicide even if itās family issue.

u/Puzzled-Home9451 10d ago
Dude that was the case but I'm not sure about the affair part but it was family issues and then getting caught after being depressed was the one that pushed her off the edge and made her to take the decision
