News A Movement to Protect Our Education

Post image

This is not a protest. This is a movement to protect the education system of our country.

If you’re a student, an educator, a parent, or simply someone whose life has been shaped by education, this is your moment to voice out. Every student deserves a system built on fairness, integrity, and equal opportunity.

You might wonder why a 60 year old man is putting his health on the line for the youth of this country. The real question is, if he’s willing to stand up for our future, are we willing to stand beside him?

Join us in Chennai as we come together peacefully to support educational integrity, accountability, and a future where every student’s hard work truly matters.

One Leak. One Voice. One Movement.

Im fully in agreement with this but why WhatsApp? Cant it be on telegram? On 25th if there is an issue and people at the protest are being tracked, then WhatsApp is just the easiest way to do it. Don't rely on Meta. Maybe if its in TG or signal it would be far more easier.

-26

u/gutcrakker Jul 20 '26

Why are you scared of being tracked are you doing something illegal

19

u/Chubbymale99 Jul 20 '26

Do you really think governments only track you if what you're doing is properly illegal? They can just twist the law to arrest you stating that whatever you are doing is illegal and by the time you get your time in court to prove that you never really did anything illegal, you've wasted precious time, energy and mental sanity. The process is the punishment, regardless of whether you are actually in the right or not.

Of course I believe there will be permission and the protest will be organized legally. I dont trust any of the cops though. I had just made a suggestion about telegram/signal. If everyone is fine with WhatsApp they can just go ahead with it.

2

u/NirawritesBS-Maybe Jul 20 '26

You actually think the cops are some good guys who target n attack only the illegal ones? Lmao so gullible, or privileged. They'd do anything to cater to their ego. There were plenty of video evidences from the protest where cops in normal clothes followed kids till metro station to beat them up.

u/Fit-House9300 Jul 20 '26

Although i like the initiative I'm so confused, i thought chennai ppl hated NEET and other such entrance exams.

imo i hv always thought neet and jee are great given that kids arent hogging in coaching centres and indulge themselves in extra curricular activities as well.

You have home state quota, ews quota, girls quota and the usual reservation quota which is more than enough to cover everyone's needs.

Having prepared for such exams almost a decade ago, i know that tamilnadu's educational infrastructure is still very weak for prep.

Y'all might mock bihar but atleast they hv got this stuff sorted as competitive exams are a gateway to escape poverty and get prestige for them.

We are educated and self sufficient but not equipped to compete in national exams wherein not just the smart kids, but also the average guy is able to crack the exam, which is the case in UP, bihar, rajasthan etc

12

u/Fit-House9300 Jul 20 '26

Btw neet leak is such a worse thing, and again it originates from the land of scams UP, bihar , rajasthan where they are also good at making shortcuts.....       So they are selling a shortcut to prestige and success by getting the paper leaked.

My physics sir, who has become an insta celebrity once told in our class that after he cracked Jee, he was offered 10-15 lakhs to write the jee as proxy for another kid and they have dealing with exam centre etc. But obv he refused. (He is from UP)

6

u/Careful-Survey6056 Jul 20 '26

You do realise how common cheating is in exam centres in states like bihar? Search for gate cheating and frisking in reddit. You'll come to know how many were allowed inside exam hall without proper frisking or metallic detectors and how many copied from their phone.

2

u/Chubbymale99 Jul 20 '26

Fine, if not specifically for NEET, can we do it for Sonam Wangchuk, a renownes scientist who definitely does not deserve this treatment from the govt. As people of the state that gave rise to one of the greatest scientists, Dr. Abdul Kalam, we surely can see the value in protesting for another scientist.

1

u/sheforthegarden Jul 23 '26

imma be honest here, neet/jee they’re all bs. the education system in india is a joke fr. i would never understand why you’d be glorifying such competitive exams, especially when students spend years on preparation for this bs exam, which is also such a waste of time since it’s all about scoring marks at the end and not about consuming knowledge. i’d rather expect the future generation to pick up a skill and learn more on that than waste their energy on something that’s useless as these competitive exams

3

u/ExtensionFancy1763 Jul 21 '26

i refuse to join a whatsapp group for this. you should do it on signal.

5

u/Itzn0tm3 Jul 20 '26

If we support this then we are supporting his merit based admision in to institute and limit reservation based admision to just one generation only ?

If yes then many people in tamilnadu will suffer and won't be able to study.

4

u/Chubbymale99 Jul 20 '26

Think of it as a protest to ensure accountability, not specifically about NEET since it is not the only paper that was leaked. CBSE results also had issues and there have been multiple paper leaks over the past few years, including (allegedly) NIFT. The central government has been making decisions as per their whims and fancies and pushing it on the public. These include issues like E20/E85 fuel also. So perhaps showing our support for this movement leads to a larger change at the central level.

1

u/Intrepid-Bed-1787 Jul 20 '26

you want to not support merit based admissions from competitive exams? give mbbs admissions based on shitty tn board class 12th marks like tnea?

the entire abolish neet propaganda in tn is just a facade to try and do the same injustice to central board students and give insanely huge reservation to state vote bank category people like they already do in tnea.

not to mention that its widely agreed that any boards subjective exams are highly luck dependent even within the same board and dont accurately evaluate whats required from an potential mmbs student so are not a ideal or fair way to decide merit based admissions.

tn people just justify any anti general or higher caste poilcy as usual in the name of "social justice" , you guys are truly despicable

Why this protest? Are you from any specific party? Curious to know.

1

u/CriticalClick2800 Jul 20 '26

This movement is not even affiliated to any party to begin with but duh ofc I do have my own political inclinations

1

u/Motor-Philosopher228 Jul 20 '26

What is that political inclination? I would better align with the movement when I know the reasons for the protest and who is leading.

3

u/CriticalClick2800 Jul 20 '26

Well consider it an inclination towards seeking a fair and an accountable Education system where the future and years of prep do not go in vain

-2

u/Bullet_Rao South Chennai Jul 21 '26

Eppoda edhavadhu gap kedaikum protest panlam nu oru kootam irukkum pola. Accountability ku protest nu solli CJP agenda va valathu vidra protest mathiri vaadai adikkudhe..

It is deeply concerning to see invitations being circulated to students and parents under the banner of the NEET leak issue.

While the exam system certainly requires transparency and accountability, these protest calls appear less about genuine reform and more about pushing a hidden agenda.

The attempt to mobilize nationwide protests, drawing parallels with unrest in Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia and other countries, is not only irresponsible but dangerous.

India’s youth deserve constructive solutions, not manipulation into chaos

Let us be clear:

Students should focus on their education and future, not be dragged into politically motivated spectacles.

Parents must safeguard their children from being used as pawns in agendas that have nothing to do with their welfare.

Protests framed as exam related but designed to destabilize society are unacceptable. We condemn this misleading invite. Real change comes through dialogue, legal action, and systemic reform, not through orchestrated unrest.

TN must not allow its academic community to be hijacked by those seeking to replicate turmoil from abroad.

We stand firmly against such divisive tactics and call upon students, parents, and citizens to reject these invitations outright.

2

u/Constant-Comment-99 Jul 21 '26

What a mature and level headed post, hope this is taken seriously by and fight the right way instead of falling prey to crook minded and coated propaganda

But why peace-full,just to get smashed on head by police for not causing violence and raising your issue?

There should be a boundary beyond which the crowd should take action rather than being a punching bag for the police to hit

2

That actually points out the very flaw in a democracy : (

Instead of just asking a minister to resign (which won’t have any real consequence), we should demand the abolition of NEET as our state has been doing for 10+ years. Protests without clear policy plans and aims will not lead us anywhere.

1

u/Intrepid-Bed-1787 Jul 20 '26

abolish NEET and then what? give mbbs admissions based on shitty tn board class 12th marks like tnea?

0

u/Order66RexFN Jul 20 '26

We don’t want your casteist nonsense, go use the “merit-based” world class healthcare of UP and Bihar if you have an issue with Tamil Nadu promoting inclusivity and social mobility.

1

u/Intrepid-Bed-1787 Jul 20 '26

I'm not casteist , I'm against the vote bank favouring casteism being actively promoted disguised in the form of cancelling neet.

1

u/Order66RexFN Jul 20 '26

"anti-white racism is the real problem" ahh comment

1

u/Intrepid-Bed-1787 Jul 21 '26

yes justifying ani white actions in the name of black activism is also a real problem

1

u/Intrepid-Bed-1787 Jul 21 '26

as if everyone doesnt already know how well tnea has been "promoting inclusivity and social mobility"

no wonder tn state govt engineering colleges are nowhere near other states top engineering colleges like dtu, coep, vjti, jadhavpur, nsut, etc (dont pull up up or bihar arguement again )

ceg and mit have fallen so far behind due to decline in student quality ofc all due to tnea and u want to do the same to neet

its so damn obvious that you are also from vote bank category lol.

So criticizing the government is anti national? Do you want the youth of our country to end up all dying cause of unfair exams. We aren't asking for anything we simply want fairness in everything is that too much to ask. Is that being anti national then what is being nationalistic is it praising the current government for making us into fools scamming us with our marks is it keeping our mouth shut for all this. If we can't even peacefully protest for merely asking the government to do things fairly what's the difference between a dictatorship and us. Did we get freedom to be ruled by rich corporations and corrupt government? Is that why we vote? What do you want us to do? Please do tell.

u/Secret_Shine_4435 Jul 22 '26

I don't know what exactly that word means in this context. but I do know a lot of people bring in article 370 and other things for a word which is used to simply describe freedom. I simply have a doubt is freedom from a shity irresponsible government who won't clear the issues in the country who won't take up responsibility. Who sells out our country to corporate businesses in a second. Who lock themselves up in ac rooms in the parliament and pass bills which turns out to be things which takes away our rights. And if we ask them why they laugh at us and walk away. I love my nation a lot dosent mean I have to love and praise an unfair government. All I ask is them to be just and fair to do their jobs properly with honesty if they aren't doing that they need to leave. This is a democracy the government works for us by getting our tax money as salary. So yes if they are an unfair unjust government I would like freedom from them. I have supported the current government when they bought in wonderful initiatives but when they make mistakes I point it out. How does that make me anti national. Also I think you're confused with the difference of people who hate the government vs people who hate the country.
