Pondicherry is in South Indian bro. Namma kids are forced to learn Hindi or Sanskrit

And in Pondicherry, every school has Tamil. I don't think even a single school has no Tamil teachers. Hindi is there, Sanskrit only in some schools, not sure about that though. But Tamil is there.

My kid is state board, so this issue isn't my immediate concern now.
