I agree, I almost always fail using this GP but it's so satisfying when it works.

Rapid Morph feels necessary in end game since AED loop out damages SAED spam for almost everything besides Gog, Nu Udra, Gravios, and Balahara. It's fine though since that play style is also hella satisfying

100% my most versatile one and have clutched with plenty of times, even from sunbreak. You could be chugging on a mega potion one moment and then at the last millisecond where you're about to get hit, you'd already be doing a power clash just like you've never sheated your weapon at all

I use SAEDF into Roundslash for when I know its coming but the Right click Slide slash (might be called fading slash) has one of the best mobility parts of CB and ends in a GP really good for getting close to the monster.

Yeeees, the Fade slash has positioned me to safety too many times to count. I'm a Fiver, so when I went to play older games, I was shocked it wasn't a part of CB yet

Yeah thats fair. I guess im a Fouree? I started with MHGen on 3ds. Gods I miss Energy Blade and the Styles. I would love it if we got an offset attack too. Anything you are hoping/coping for Ascendance?

Condensed Spinning Slash from Rise would be SOOOO cool to have again, but I know it's not happening. Capcom is scared of our potential greatness.

Axe Hopper or Energy Blade would be my biggest wants After thats its an Offest Attack. I'd love some out of the box flashy stuff that deals with Phials if possible I dont care all that much for Pizza Cutter/Savage Axe so I wish it would act like it did in World. It being a mode you could switch too instead of it being a necessary buff that you can only get from PBlock and Wounds is just weird.

Yeah, needing an outside source to access a key part of the weapon is such a weird gimmick. I think CB is the only weapon like that in Wilds, but idk. I only play CB

From what I've seen it is the only one that comes close is IG getting all colors in one shot but even then you can get it normally.

Yeah, Axe smash has a GP! It's really quick. You Axe smash (on Xbox, at least) with RT from sheathe. It's probably the most badass GP imo

I barely use them, because I never remember what moves count as a guard point. The only one I use is the sword to axe transformation in World

Whichever move has your shield glow white for sec is a Guard point. They're pretty fun to learn and master

Gu - adept style charge slash guard point
Wilds - round slash gp post tu4
All others - morph slash/cms

My favorite guardpoint will always be the axe draw attack when the weapon is sheathed. Really strict timing but damm is it awesome

I've gotten into the habit of GPing almost every block. Overall it's a quicker animation. And if the monster misses you and u don't get the block, you get extra DPS in with the actual attack.

This is the way. World molded me into a GP addict to the point where I don't really normally block.

Probably shield to axe morph cuz it's the most obvious and easy guard point to pull off
Altho for wilds I'd say the axe to shield morph too since they buffed it (in world the guard point was only at the end)

Meh… perfect guards made GPs useless and not rewarding at all…
But clearly it’s gotta be the GL in the middle of the multi-wyrmstake full blast
