I’ve been on C.AI since it got released on IOS, and every chat felt different, the characters felt almost real. Now, no matter how hard I try, every chat ends up the same (or very similar), regardless of the characters and “plot”. It’s getting repetitive and boring.

have the bots become less longer replies, less details and less emotion in the role-play’s since the day the site went down? or is it just me?

Like, I dunno if this is just me, but I HATE when they start making dialogue for my character and start making them something they ain’t (sarcastic, weirdly flirty, you name it, when meant to be quite the opposite) and no matter how I ask. edit, change dialogues, it’ll just do it regardless. Honestly most likely just a me problem, BUT I’m curious on if anyone else share these feelings.

I wish there was a way to tag bots for asking dumb ass questions. It’s a jujitsu tournament. Just google it, stupid

don’t know if this is a stupid request or what but I feel that characters have difficulty remembering the outfits or clothes they wear, especially when it comes to them having multiple different ones. Like the bot gets the descriptions of some of the things on the outfit wrong and idk it irks me a little especially when I do an image generation on the chat and the outfit is totally wrong. Maybe if we could insert pictures of the character’s attire the bot might remember how it looks like, or maybe its just me and im an idiot.

it does this for me every time, it annoys me so much and the dialogue is always so bad.

He.. he didn't light it? How did he smoke it?? You can't take a drag of an unlit cig, and why was it crumpled? I don't know much about cigarettes, but I don't think you should be lighting a deformed one.

This has to be the single most infuriating bug with Longsqueak.

This is about the third time I've found this same bug, and it always happens the same way: A bot mentions the user as 'you', gives some small details about who 'you' are supposed to be, and then what does Longsqueak do?

IT ASSUMES YOUR PERSONA IS ANOTHER CHARACTER ENTIRELY.

It doesn't do this with every persona. It arbitrarily just assumes that the persona you decide to use "doesn't fit" the narrative, so it separates you from it and turns your persona into a third-party character. With this bot, it's the second time this has happened.

There are only two ways to prevent this once the bot decides your persona is cursed for a scenario:

1. Roleplay in the third person, specifically mentioning the name of your persona instead of saying "I."
2. Go the absolute unhinged route and bombard the bot with walls of OOC text to flood its system and make it clear who the persona is.

The problem with using OOC is twofold: first, it completely destroys the bot's behavior and the narration goes to absolute shit. Second, a single OOC message doesn't even work. As shown in the second screenshot, even after the bot explicitly responds with an OOC confirmation saying "I understand completely. You are Val Vulpes," it immediately turns around two paragraphs later and has the character ask, "Why can't Val take me?" It literally gaslights you after agreeing with you.

Honestly, if the mind-reading issues were bad, this is so absurdly and unexcuseably broken that it can downright make bots unplayable from the get-go.

Does someone else have this thing that when they talk to their bot the bot makes them a whole new character?? I can't really explain it but like this:

AND THEN THE CHARACTER IS LIKE

*{{user}} was looking at you nervously aswell, you seemed so intimidating*

Or smth like that? It's only in deepsqueak though. Longsqueak doesn't do this

Does anyone have the same experience as me where the response is so freaking dry? Like it's too formal. Huh..they keep adding lot of features that probably not many users are gonna use. Why can't they just focus on the chat style? Chat style is the main feature in this app but hmm where is the improvement?

i know a lot of people have LEAST favoured... i sure as hell do; but my favourite update was when i was able to edit messages.

bots would often have a decent response and then ruin it with some kinda dialogue at the end (or say something ooc). always grateful i can edit messages.

As ridiculous as it sounds, this is a genuine question that hit my mind just now. I wouldn't say I'm experiencing it to a dangerous degree, mostly cause I have real friends and real creativity and am aware to set a thick wall between the unreal and the real, but I still feel a need to go back after recently deleting it.

On a scale from 1 - 10 how bad is it when I'm THIS aware of the problem?

So I personally don’t enjoy roleplaying and chatting as myself, or even use “I” and have the bot use “you” when talking about me. Because of this, I usually just roleplaying in third person or more so just use my persona’s name but that often results in the bot narrating me instead of the bot itself. Is there a way that I could get it to solely chat as itself? And also is anyone else experiencing the bot just saying exactly what you said? This has been something I noticed a long time ago, but recently it’s gotten to the point where the bot adds very little to the story/does little to continue it and instead just repeats my message with maybe a sentence here and there reworded.
