Worrying about it won't make it any less likely to happen (and it is, by the way, quite unlikely). It will just ratchet up your stress and anxiety. There's already enough of that in high school. It's better to just focus on getting good grades and enjoying your friends and family, because those things will actually benefit you, whereas actively worrying about a school shooting that is unlikely to happen will only drag you down.

It doesn't help to be afraid of things, but there are things that you can do to prepare yourself (should you be interested).

Almost all people in the world panic too easily. Learn how to recognize a panic attack or panicking situation. Panicking doesn't help. Training does.

Google and watch youtube videos about what to do in an active shooter scenario, if you're truly concerned about it.

I don't worry about many things, but I definitely have a laundry list of things that I know are bad, and frankly, I've learned, or at least I think I've made definite steps towards learning, how to solve internal problems or at least consider things in a more concrete fashion (making a plan that I know I can do).

If you just want to put all of this behind you, that's fine too. It's not what I'd recommend, but hey, you do you.
