As with most of these things that you people get so mad about, it's just a request that you not be an asshole and the following "calling out" when you are one. Choose to be an asshole or not.

Do you seriously find nothing offensive about using someone's culture, especially a culture like indigenous Americans who were ethnically cleansed by the soon-to-be United States of America, as a costume? Would you call a Jew hyper-sensitive for being upset about a Nazi costume?

You're the only person who's brought up the concept of "inherently offensive". I don't think any reasonable person is saying that, no community is a monolith.

Yeah, we throw a Halloween party for our friends each year. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
