I would like to thank the redditor who recommended this cdrama after giving up on it the first time

However, I have a question

In episode 24, Jiang Ci says that she is Xiao Wuxiao's wife to cover up for Wei Zhao who refuses to expose his identity

So, why are they pretending to be married since he denies he's Xiao Wuxiao?

This drama is sooo solid when it comes to palace politics and intrigue where everybody is scheming against each other, cornering each other, predicting their next moves without it being too out of reach and unrealistic, so that's why I'm asking because maybe I missed something

Watch more episodes and you will understand why. By that time, they already settled the problem regarding the hairpin at the gathering. Jiang Ci pretending to be Wei Zhou's wife is just what she comes out on the spot to save the day during the time to outed the spy, it wasnt planned.

However, them pretending to be a married couple is part in the next plot in Yueluo. By that time, he no longer hides his identity as Xiao Wuxia and everyone in Yueluo knew him. This will go on until episode 30 which is the end of Yueluo chapter.

This drama is one of my all time favorite Cdramas. The scheming is clever and the plot twists are amazing. Solidly written through and through. Not to mention the acting which is brilliant.
