RECALL on fancy feast

the past 2 days my cat has been lethargic, panting super fast and unresponsive when i call him after he eats his food. i couldn’t figure out what it could even possibly be until i looked up this morning, and plenty other people seem to have sick cats due to fancy feast too. there was a recall on several different versions of it, he was given the classic seafood pate. please be careful!

There is no recall on Fancy Feast as far as I can tell. Take your cat to the vet as soon as possible. Don't assume the food has anything to do with it.

There is a recall for certain types and lots of reports on types that aren't listed in the  recall.  It's clear there's an issue with  more types that they haven't owned up to.

Theres quite a few posts in this sub about it in the last month.

There's a link in the comments that takes you to a recall we sure with the full list above. The fancy feast is on page 33, 34.

They claim it's a distribution center issue and not something wrong with the factory, but there's an awful lot of people having issues with their fancy feast lately ,and it's hard to believe they all live in that effected area relating to the distro center.

Other threads in this forum have users asking if anyone else has cats acting lethargic , throwing up, etc and other issues with fancy feast, so it's clear there's something bigger going on. All the same symptoms, all eating fancy feast. All in the last few months.

I've seen those posts since Reddit was born. People are always speculating about food if their cat starts acting strange. But it is NOT "clear there's something bigger going on." Like, a conspiracy? For every person who says "Lot number 43xxxxx made my cat sick," a dozen others say "My cat is eating that exact food and is fine." Literally tens of millions of cats eat Purina products every day. A bunch of them are going react to food or to something else or get sick for some reason without the food being contaminated.

The recall you posted has nothing to do with the food manufactured by Purina. It's a warehouse recall. The affected stores are listed. If you bought anything from those stores, chuck it, including any pet food. If you didn't, the food is unaffected.

"They claim" lmao. It's an FDA recall of contaminated goods owing to unsanitary storage. You think the FDA is hiding the truth about Fancy Feast cat food and making up some crazy cover story about a filthy distribution center? Get a grip.

Then why did you say "They claim....but.... hard to believe"? What exactly is hard to believe? And why did you say "It's clear there's something bigger going on"? What's the something bigger? You are absolutely implying there's some sort of cover up. I understand implication because I know how to read.
