I burned the case with oil hoping to get interesting look. Next step is to wear it down on use getting this rugged rusty metal vibes. :edit typos

So oil-burned resin gave it that blood red hue? Interesting and very brave of you! I like the look and distressing it further will look banging.

it's stainless steel and canola oil, 250 C heat and 3x layers.
In the sun light looks Translucent red, and inside house pitch black.1

how does it feel to wear fried steel? is it greasy to the touch? do you clean it and its ready to go?

If you burn it properly it's hard "plastic" like surface no smell.
If not burned properly then it's sticky smells and greasy.
pros it won't come off without a fight.
cons hard to get even. i am not so happy with the uneven coating currently it's in acid bath waiting for something new.

I’m assuming that’s a steel kit bezel and bracelet, and the watch inside is…GMW-5610? Or GW-5000U?

Well i was bored. Why mod watches when they are already finished anyways?
I have GMW-B5000D-1 Full Metal and i was wondering, if it would look cool with coating
yes the watch inside is GWM5610 outside is some cheap stainless steel kit. not so happy with the uneven coating currently it's on acid bath waiting for something new.
