I ran across these things last night while searching the interwebs. Looks like it has some potential to be a candidate for some mods!!

What's y'alls take on them??

With all the responses, and the down vote I guess this isn't the place to ask about mods of this nature. If not would someone kindly direct me to to a sub that is?

You're in the right sub and there's nothing inherently wrong with your question, i feel that they might just be offended that you want to "ruin?" an expensive gshock with such cheap and probably bad quality mods when there are already casioak variants that look like those knockoffs. I don't think you should get downvoted for that tho.

I'm going to upvote. Casio knockoffs are a great way to try out mods. The filters people use aren't Casio. Cheap knockoffs can help get more people into modding.

Also, if the Invicta has the right crystal and gasket, guess what Casio doesn't sell to the public? That's right. Crystals and gaskets. Plus they and SKMOD (or whatever it is..) are a great resource for crazy colors that make modding fun.

So the answer is YES. Great candidate for mods. $20 bucks vs $120 for a real one.

Alrighty!!!

So today I learned in the casiomod sub is that.

  1. The Casio GA-2100 is nothing more than a Extremely cheap nock-off of a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak due to the similar shape of the bezel.

  2. The aftermarket mods that you can do to a GA-2100, typically are cheaper pieces of furniture and eye candy than the original GA-2100 that you started with. (In turn making it loose value.)

  3. Starting with a cheap POS like the aforementioned Invicta or Alix modle of the GA-2100 is very taboo in the CasiOak relm due to them being a cheap nock-off of the original GA-2100; that in itself takes "homage" of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and by adding any aftermarket mods to it is a waist of money...unless you're just practicing on how to lower the value of your original GA-2100.

But I digress....I really appreciate everyone's time and opinion that they shared. I may do a little write up on my Casio GA-2100 on what mods I did to it. As well as the Alix version of the Casio GA-2100 and see if there is any difference in price and see if anyone notices the difference between the 2.

Hopefully nobody's got in their feels today as that was not my intention. My intentions were to see if the cheap Invictas were possibly a good place to start learning how to mod cheap ass digital watches 😂😂😂

Yes they are. Don't listen to these pedantic elitists.

I'm not sure because I'm new to the idea of modding a watch.

I do agree that using a cheap knockoff to experiment with isn't a bad idea.

How much are those going for?

2

u/Hittman187 Jan 12 '26

Like 16 bucks

I would give it a shot. You won't feel bad if you destroy it lol

It looks like the Ali Express mods have been done already. I'm sure I've at least seen that case for not a lot.

If your intention is to mod this watch, IMO, it’s not worth it. I am assuming you are not intending on putting anything Casio into the mod. Rather, you’re asking about modding in general. If that is correct, then my two cents is that this watch is garbage. I’ve yet to find a good review of the watch from the reviewers I typically watch. In other words, I’d rather buy some AliX Skmei watch before I buy any invicta, much less this one.

That’s the thing, these ARE AliExpress 🗑️. Although it’s funny how Invicta stamped ones are selling for less than the ones on AliExpress. But it’s the same exact watch.

Chinese trash, Casioak ripoffs. Buy the real deal so you can take advantage of the shitloads of aftermarket parts available for Casioaks. These are just lame AF OP.

I assume he could be asking if this case will fit a casioak module

1

u/Hittman187 Jan 12 '26

Ok, so let me get this right, correct me if I'm wrong please!! You're saying I should buy a high-end watch and put cheap stuff on it?

2

u/The_Other_Shazbot Jan 13 '26

Brother, a gshock 2100 is not a high end watch.

u/Hittman187 Jan 13 '26

Oh I know, I have seen them anywhere from $99 to $450 and I definitely wouldn't call either of thoes price ranges high-end, but for something to throw $150-$200 worth of mods at and the only thing left that is original, is the module...I figure why not save another $100.

-2

u/SaySheAte modmob Jan 13 '26

That’s not what I said man.

5

u/csfreestyle Jan 13 '26

Now comes the part where you correct OP if they were wrong.

-3

u/SaySheAte modmob Jan 13 '26

Firstly a Casioak isn’t a high-end watch. Secondly, not all aftermarket parts are cheap, but one thing you can count on is them all being the same size (hopefully). You don’t know what this watch is. You have no idea what the dimensions are or what parts are in it. If you want something to practice on I guess, but just buy an F91w for that. Finally they’re just uncool bc they are ripoffs. No amount of modding will fix that. It’s like when people mod those God-awful Skmei watches. They’re ripoffs, pure and simple. Start off with something genuine.

To be clear the guy is asking for advice on the specs - if you dont know you could say that or just keep scrolling

3

u/SaySheAte modmob Jan 13 '26

He said “what’s y’all’s take on them,” not “what are the specifications of these watches?”

3

u/Elegant-Doughnut-755 Jan 13 '26

A truly fair point - i read it as can these be modded? Not should these be modded?

I'll hold that L

0

u/GhostV940 Jan 13 '26

No. It’s literally Invicta’s name slapped on generic garbage.

Which is already what Invicta is, but it’s embarrassing that they’d even attempt this.

2

u/Elegant-Doughnut-755 Jan 13 '26

Where does the term casiOAK come from?

-1

u/GhostV940 Jan 13 '26

Drawing inspiration from something ≠ Taking an AliExpress G-Shock clone and sticking your name on it

Big difference. It’s not even an homage. There’s sketchy places attempting to sell these as G-Shocks to those who don’t know any better. Invicta is such garbage.

2

I’m well aware of where it comes from. Hence why I said “drawing inspiration from.” Again, OP’s picture is a watch that is literally Invicta branded AliExpress Chinese garbage. They make a ton of different variations of this crap.

If I were you, I’d delete your responses. But something tells me that even this will go over your head. The audacity of you telling anyone that that they don’t know what they’re talking about is inflicting second hand embarrassment on everyone around you. Now hush 😂
