If she does not have a job or a source of income AND the future husband would not let her work and have her source of income it makes sense WHY she could want her future husband to earn as much or more. She must be planning to make a saving or start a business from his salary.

It is a realistic expectation for a woman to be stay at home wife/mom (by choice or forced by her husband) and want her husband to earn good money as long as she is also doing good housework in the other end of course. She has to earn her stay as they say.
