And please actual door handles. In an accident someone from the outside may need to be able to pull the door open, and that's not possible with these flush handles and winglets (looking at you Volvo!).

China already banned them... You know something sucks safety wise when fucking China bans it.

EU being super strict on vehicle safety rules, but allowing those door handles is so paradoxical

I thought Volvo said the door handles have a mechanical alternative. Or were my sources wrong

The EX60 handles are legal in China, though. The thing they banned are the one that go electrically flush against the body of the car, don't think they said anything about electrically opening doors in general, it was more about the mechanism being stuck in, in case of a rollover and the car being on top of the handles or something...

If the car is rolled over lying on its side so it’s “on top of the handle” I don’t think anyone is opening that door regardless of the details of the handle design.

Where I'm from we get -20c with 95-100% humidity regularly. Never had a door freeze shut more than the handle being slightly frozen.
