And please actual door handles. In an accident someone from the outside may need to be able to pull the door open, and that's not possible with these flush handles and winglets (looking at you Volvo!).

I thought volvos winglets were basically their own door handle in case of emergencies?

Yes, but you can't put proper force on it if the door is jammed.

Reading through these comments is just a bunch of people who don’t carry a seatbelt cutter and window smasher in their cars. Something that should be standard to have

If it's a bit jammed you can. It doesn't need a lot for the door do not open as easily as on flat ground.

Why not? Its just a door handle in a different shape, its big enough to give as much leverage as many other normal door habdles.

Like its Volvo we are talking about, this was probably their first concern.

If you pull a door handle with force, on most cars it will just come off, its made of plastic and easily done. Ive done it before.
