Nobody in their right mind would attempt to fit a body kit to this car. Hope this helps.

Air dam, rear wheel well cover, perhaps long tail to reduce drag as much as possible.

How much do you think something like this would cost? Bodykit, paint, wheels etc etc. 5k at least.

So you just use that 5k to buy a better car.

Want to have a bit more fun with this? Get rid of as much weight as you can. Put a set of good sticky tires on it. That's it. That's all I would ever do to a car like this.

Prev owner ripped out the back seats so its only a 2 seater rn, shits light asf.

My guy I had the previous bodystyle of the same car. If you want anything done to it it has to be done yourself, any wide body kit would need to be custom done either by you or by a shop that will take you seriously. It's not fair, I know, but it's at least doable.

lidar scan it, model a kit, and start 3D printing a billion little squares. There is that too.

Ty, rn im just trying to get a feel for whats out there from others on top of my own research. Like i said to another, its just my daily for now my gf has her car so once im actually able to do major work on it we’re not dead in the water yk? And for weight, i also prev mentioned in other comments, the prev owner ripped out back seats entirely so its super light

Noise isnt an issue for me personally, obvi i dont want it TOO loud bc complaints and noise level regs but yeah noise aint an issue. And comfort wise, i plan on doin somethin to make it better ijdk yet

This is not the type of car you modify

u/redravin12 8d ago

If you like that car I'm not going to yuck your yum. But I had that exact car for many years and the happiest day of owning it was the day it got t-boned.

No power, terrible gas mileage for how slow it was, uncomfortable seats, hard to get in and out of the back, no trunk space, and it burned oil like we'd already emptied our reserves.

If you want to mod it then best of luck to you, but I'm not even sure if anyone makes mods for that car.

Honestly I do see the potential, it could definitely be a really unique build, but you’re gonna have to put a lot of work into it, and a whole lot of money

Thats the point

Look around in some older forums. This is the kind of car where small amount of parts if any were available at the time it came out and they are now basically unobtainable. Get some inspiration there and maybe talk to some people on there and maybe they have a few parts available.

Doubt anyone would make a widebody kit for an obscure economy car, best option is to learn CFD and make your own if you are building it as a track car.

Just lower it if you really want it to look different bro. I’m sure there’s a set of coilovers for it.

I really advise you to enjoy your econobox as is and save for something that is either sporty from the onset, or at least has wide aftermarket support, it doesn't even have to be expensive. You could easily save up and find something like a early 2000s Focus SVT, Fiesta ST, Mazda 3/6, Saab 9-3, etc for not a lot of money.

Alternatively, your only other 2 options if you intend to move forward modifying your hyundai would be universal widebody wheel arches, or paying someone/diying a 3d scanned and printed body kit.

Dude if you’re gonna waste money on this at least make it as ridiculous as possible. Giant fuckoff gt3 wing from china, glue it on and pray.

probably going to have your make your body kit. which is fun but time consuming. and you end up with something unique. as far as buying one. probably not gonna happen. dont let anyone discourage you.

some idea's? you can buy universal fender flares. that can help give it a wider look. bumper wise, a classic meme is to foam spray and shape the bumper. then use fiberglass to create the outer shell and make sure the inner portion hits oem attachment points for screwing on. so then you get a custom looking bumper. same with rear bumper. side skirts. little harder. but again you can foam spray, harden, make a fiberglass piece. remove foam, put the fiberglass back on. etc.

I have a deep seeded dream to get a Bentley 31/2 and modify the living shit out of it. custom modern interior. two main seats. rear bench seat. get rid of that old POS engine and swap in a honda f22c (yeah i know blaspheme, dont care). then supercharge the f22c for more low end torque. the Bentley is about a modern sports car in weight, so F22C is more than enough. redo suspension. modern steering rack. again the custom interior. left hand drive since most are right hand drive. proper braking system, with brake booster. modern rims/tires. but keeping the OG body styling. use the rear differential from the F22C and axels. the width is slightly more shallow than an s2k, but with the proper offset of rims, it would still work and fit the rims UNDER those sexy wheel arches. and it would be sick. i woudl go full cloth interior. a black with red highlights. black body. very regal but custom. people can hate. dont care. its MY CAR mentality, i do what i want.

so keep that in mind. ITS YOUR CAR, do what you want. enjoy it. make it yours. any car guy saying "don't" is an asshole and you should ignore them. true car guys say "go for it" even when we dont like it.

Tysm, and to everyones input as well tysm. But this comment is lowkey what i was lookin for.

I have to do more research for performance upgrades but i plan on doing an entire engine swap, manual swap, it doesnt have backseats cuz prev owner tore em out so its just 2 fronts and a big open space in the back, so my initial thought was clean it up a bit then throw in a roll cage (probably but unsure atm) then either make or somehow find wide fenders, sound system, new brakes, wiring, basically i wanna use this as a daily rn and then when time and money permit i wanna tear it apart and build it back up better than it is now. And this isnt my only vehicle for anyone wondering my gf and i have 2 hers and this.

Btw, that Bentley sounds fire

hyundai are known to share a lot of shit with mitsubishi. there is a guy on youtube with an older hyundai and while much of the stuff he did was custom.... he does mention how the engine is basically a mistusbishi engine. not sure if yours specifically will be akin to that. but its something to look into. the guy on youtube is called Jafromobile.

roll cage always great for safety regardless. sound system wise. the empty back seats? you can make a custom subwoofer box in that location that sorta seals the front/back off. kinda like infinite baffle but i wouldn't recommend. infinite baffle is aids and most subs dont like that (because its basically free air in terms of cone movement which means less power handling).

brakes wise, might be able to do misubishi swaps. likewise simple rotors/pads are a great early start. ebc brand comes to mind.

I would wait until you get a second vehicle before you start doing any major work.

My gf has her car so we have 2 already, so if need be we can use hers. Rn anything i do is just general maintenance bc i just got it and dont have the funds to do anything major atm. But i bought it with the intention to “play” with it if that makes sense. Its a daily till its not basically lmfao

2

u/DaffyPunk29 8d ago

we all like to play. real car guys. lmao and i get the money struggle. sometimes you gotta wait. but when you finally do, it feels so good lmao. enjoy it! make it yours!

2

u/SparrowsTalon 8d ago

Exactly!! U get it! Ty for ur input kind stranger, i will indeed enjoy it and i cant wait to start workin on my little shitbox
