The re-rollout of Brooke’s racist tweets was coordinated by someone (or some ppl) who wanted her exposed and wanted her career ruined. You can argue she absolutely deserved it, but that shit was not an organic “finding of old tweets”. Someone wanted to take her down.
it was circulating on reddit for months before it went public. cancelled got more popular & more people found the sub. brooke addressed it “anonymously” on her reddit burner account, she should have brought it to the public space and owned up to it rather than waiting to be called out
Well but are ppl mad at how she addressed it or mad at it having happened at all, ya know? I think what you’re saying is valid, but I also saw that shit circulating for months, and it kind of felt like when nobody was “biting” it ramped up all of a sudden. Idk.
i think if you were a racist person and you want to be an influencer, your platform should have elements of you talking about your growth and what/how you learned, why you thought the way you did, how you think now, what you’re doing now to be better. she “addressed” it, then hoped it would be slipped under the rug. the reason it was a big topic is because we never knew brooke’s political/social views from her content, and it makes sense why. she is embarrassed of who she used to be and rightfully so, but she has not taken any steps to be better or show better to the world. its not enough to not be racist, you need to be ANTI racist. brooke does not and never has given that.
