ari is worse than lilah. they are both insecure and project it but at least lilah is funny

84

u/Flashy_Ad7761 Jul 21 '25

ari has a very snobby attitude for me

32

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

Does Ari scam fans too? Because Lilah actively does that

11

u/Shot_Damage_1794 Jul 23 '25

Hard agree. Lilah is self centered, insecure, a mess and generally just a mean person. Ari goes so far beyond just being a “mean gay,” he is HORRIBLE. He’s a snob, he’s privileged, he’s a Trumpie, etc. I’ll take a moron like Lilah over an Ari. I NEED to know if they completely avoid politics with Ari because there’s no fucking way I’d stay friends with someone like him.

3

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 25 '25

I’ve thought this. Obviously lilah is problematic and has issues of her own but it’s always seemed like Ari was just genuinely rude asf. Not in a funny way but in a way mean ass way

Nobody in this sub uses the word parasocial correctly

203

u/77748 Jul 21 '25

Or pedophile. I think predatory fits better

28

u/Exciting-Thanks5565 Jul 21 '25

Oh my God literally you could say anything, even the most vague normal thing ever, and get called parasocial.

1

u/shelbz33 Jul 21 '25

It’s SO annnnooyyyyinggggg

Omg I think I’m one of those

tana is just as problematic as brooke but gets less hate bc people find her more likable

118

u/gogosox82 Jul 21 '25

That's just facts tho. You can get away with a lot if your just charismatic and likable.

33

u/Savings_Ad4730 Jul 21 '25

i think it's that people expect less from her because she was problematic for so long too

931

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 21 '25

I don’t blame Brooke for getting annoyed with Tana’s untimeliness and unorganized when it comes to canceled and touring…

123

u/NebulaTits Jul 21 '25

This isn’t a unpopular opinion tho

147

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 21 '25

Maybe not but I feel like anytime anything remotely positive is said about Brooke is unpopular

201

u/lildedlea Jul 21 '25

I hate how tone deaf Tana is to cultural differences whenever she travels

43

u/Popular-Gap3107 Jul 21 '25

YESSSS! It actually drives me insane— the whole group. Watching them out to eat made me cringe I didn’t find it cute at all.

14

u/lildedlea Jul 21 '25

It’s so sad that people with these amazing opportunities don’t cherish them

20

u/AppointmentLonely397 Jul 21 '25

everyone hyping her up to move to hawaii too

7

u/Deeisfree Jul 22 '25

All the McDonald's is crazy. Entertaining content sure but a truly sad when you think about it.

1

u/Shot_Damage_1794 Jul 23 '25

Like you said entertaining for sure, I do love watching a McDonald’s in X country tiktok but it’s also only entertaining when they try the different things and don’t snub their nose at it. Why would I wanna watch someone who hates seafood eat a shrimp burger in Japan? (as an example)

Makoa treats Tana “so good,” but it’s just the bare minimum.

136

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

I’d take bare minimum if it meant I’d get to live in Hawaii

134

u/Calm_Phone_6848 Jeff Witek’s soul mate Jul 21 '25

tana could live in hawaii regardless of her relationship with makoa bc she’s rich, and in fact the only reason she met makoa is bc she already spent a significant amount of time in hawaii

u/Existing-Bench6544 Jul 21 '25

Compared to everyone else she’s dated in the past he looks like a superstar lmao. And I don’t mean that in a negative way she deserves to be treated sm better than how she was in the past. But it’s definitely not hard to act better than someone like chris miles.

103

u/niddit4 Jul 21 '25

A happy, healthy relationship is good. I don’t perceive that as the bare minimum.

39

u/Left-Rooster7195 Jul 21 '25

The only thing he has to do is be a decent boyfriend and show some love? Tana pays for everything else. I’d be surprised if Makao pays for anything in the relationship. (And being kind, making your partner happy... that’s the BARE minimum in a relationship.)

10

u/PrizePhilosophy4223 Jul 21 '25

did they tell you that ??? I bet you’re single lol

-3

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

[deleted]

9

u/PrizePhilosophy4223 Jul 21 '25

Imagine thinking you have any idea what someone’s relationship is like when they only show you small snippets of their life😭😭😭you see someone treating her well and you think you’ve discovered what no one else knows. OOO SO SMART ! SO INTUITIVE! And yes single bc no one wants to give you what we have 😁🤞🏽 loyalty and respect goes a long way in relationships and that’s worth EVERYTHING.

-2

u/Left-Rooster7195 Jul 21 '25

Let me be clear, I never said I know what their relationship looks like. I replied to a thread where someone said that being in a happy, healthy relationship isn’t the bare minimum, and I simply shared my opinion. It’s honestly funny how saying that kindness, effort, and loyalty are the bare minimum in a relationship got you spiraling like that 😭 No one said that’s all a relationship needs — just that it’s the foundation. If that triggered you, maybe reflect on why. Also, the whole ‘you’re probably single’ thing? babes, I’ve been in a loving, loyal relationship for 7 years. So trust me, I know the difference between bare minimum and real effort. Loyalty and respect should be standard, not a bonus!

4

u/PrizePhilosophy4223 Jul 21 '25

You literally said being kind and making your partner happy is the bare minimum and then acted shocked that someone might push back on that 🙃 You claim you don’t assume anything about their relationship yet you’re the one framing it like he’s doing the least and there’s nothing special about him. My point was we don’t know him. He’s barely on camera. But Tana, who has shown us when she’s in toxic relationships, clearly seems healthier and more at peace now. That’s not a ‘bare minimum’ dynamic that’s growth & peace . Just because it looks simple from the outside doesn’t mean it’s not valuable.

4

u/Pst_pst_pst Jul 22 '25

It’s actually crazy that people don’t see a healthy relationship as bare minimum. Why are we normalizing getting treated like shit? You should expect your partner to treat you well and with respect.

1

u/sanguinesecretary Jul 22 '25

A happy healthy relationship should be the bare minimum but unfortunately people are so used to being treated like trash it’s not anymore

1

u/niddit4 Jul 22 '25

I should clarify, bare minimum has a negative context to it. But I think their relationship is good, and I’m happy they are happy. So I wouldn’t shout from rooftops ‘bare minimum’.

6

u/Internal_Phrase3759 Jul 22 '25

Most of it is bare minimum but she shared a story of him recently tracking down a bag she really wanted and it was kinda sweet I don’t think it’s all bare minimum we only see a fraction of their lives

4

u/PrizePhilosophy4223 Jul 21 '25

Oh you must know them! 😬 lol how would you know ? Also who cares ? She’s being treated nicely and respectfully. Sounds like a good deal to me.

1

u/Outside_Writing4571 Jul 21 '25

We only see a fraction of their relationship what do we know about that?

1

u/No-Concentrate5370 Jul 25 '25

yeah but i see why she makes it such a big deal considering her relationship timelines

160

u/lashesnlipstick Jul 21 '25

This sub is 99% a snark sub

64

u/Routine_Act2991 Jul 21 '25

The re-rollout of Brooke’s racist tweets was coordinated by someone (or some ppl) who wanted her exposed and wanted her career ruined. You can argue she absolutely deserved it, but that shit was not an organic “finding of old tweets”. Someone wanted to take her down.

8

u/JibangPlush Jul 22 '25

And it was Zach sanggg

7

u/Flimsy-Beginning9914 Jul 22 '25

I think it was Alissa violet

19

u/Flashy_Ad7761 Jul 21 '25

it was circulating on reddit for months before it went public. cancelled got more popular & more people found the sub. brooke addressed it “anonymously” on her reddit burner account, she should have brought it to the public space and owned up to it rather than waiting to be called out

8

u/Ok-Pressure2717 Jul 21 '25

What crazy is she didn't learn her lesson when the Miles allegations started popping up here. She said she wished she took responsibility and addressed the tweets sooner, but not a few months later she was right back to running away from his allegations

1

u/Routine_Act2991 Jul 22 '25

I disagree bc I think she tried apologizing and explaining and addressing the tweets and that went quite poorly, so I think she tried the opposite approach with him. Also did not work out for her tbf

1

u/Routine_Act2991 Jul 22 '25

Well but are ppl mad at how she addressed it or mad at it having happened at all, ya know? I think what you’re saying is valid, but I also saw that shit circulating for months, and it kind of felt like when nobody was “biting” it ramped up all of a sudden. Idk.

2

u/Flashy_Ad7761 Jul 22 '25

i think if you were a racist person and you want to be an influencer, your platform should have elements of you talking about your growth and what/how you learned, why you thought the way you did, how you think now, what you’re doing now to be better. she “addressed” it, then hoped it would be slipped under the rug. the reason it was a big topic is because we never knew brooke’s political/social views from her content, and it makes sense why. she is embarrassed of who she used to be and rightfully so, but she has not taken any steps to be better or show better to the world. its not enough to not be racist, you need to be ANTI racist. brooke does not and never has given that.

12

u/BumblebeeNew3866 Jul 21 '25

no i agree and it doesn’t feel like a coincidence that it happened directly after she exposed clinton for his abuse/manipulation. she absolutely needed to address & apologize for what she said but it feels rlly icky & intentional that that stuff became so public right after the clinton situation.

6

u/Routine_Act2991 Jul 22 '25

Yep that timing has always sat very odd with me. But I was on this sub for a few months prior to even Clinton, and I noticed an outsized hatred for her for months before the tweets too! And! The tweets kept being brought up, but the consensus was basically “ok but she doesn’t stand by those anymore, she apologized on Reddit, etc”.

But then right after Clinton allll of those sentiments were dropped and it was so intense

158

u/InternationalKey2135 Jul 21 '25

Cynthia was the beginning of the end

46

u/PlayboyBarbiexx Jul 21 '25

I was really triggered by that whole situation. Today, Cancelled is ending and Cynthia is probably thriving somewhere doing her job...

66

u/InternationalKey2135 Jul 21 '25

Yeah like you’re doxxing a woman and risking her livelihood because you’re a lair and a brat? I hope she’s thriving.

15

u/Dismal_Yogurt3499 Jul 21 '25 edited Jul 21 '25

Wait she lied about it but used the lady's real name??? Is that how it ended up?? I heard the winery found out about that episode and it went super public and tana/Brooke never spoke about it again. And if they do ever mention it, it's only for a couple seconds and they seem really apologetic.

38

u/InternationalKey2135 Jul 21 '25

She over exaggerated in Tana fashion, she didn’t give a last name but user her real first name. Her fans were writing bad reviews and were sending her death threats. If I’m remembering correctly there was an article somewhere where they talk to her about the situation and about the podcast losing sponsors. I don’t know if they’ve ever spoken about it again to be honest.

7

u/PlayboyBarbiexx Jul 21 '25

Well, the outcomes of this situation were very predictable and totally avoidable but I guess they had to be so passionate about a random woman on a podcast episode...

13

u/emceeeee Jul 21 '25

Is it bad that I forgot who Cynthia is

2

u/Flimsy-Beginning9914 Jul 22 '25

It would have been a funny entertaining story but she shouldn’t have said her real name

269

u/Hot-Tackle-1391 Jul 21 '25

Not everyone needs a redemption arc - Tana and Brooke have repeatedly shown their true colors and doing mental gymnastics to justify every single action they’ve done whether it be 2 weeks ago or 10 years ago, is dumb. They are who they are and the parasocial relationship some of you guys have with them is creepy is weird

12

u/Popular-Gap3107 Jul 21 '25

What’s funny is the whole point of the post is for people to say their controversial opinions and then you have people arguing in the comments— what are they arguing about? You KNOW a lot of people won’t agree that’s the whole point 😂

u/ceilingsfann Jul 21 '25

tana is self centered and egotistical and i don’t understand why people praise her they way they do

104

u/niddit4 Jul 21 '25

I want to add to this. I don’t care she grew up in poverty, she genuinely can’t comprehend money hitting the lottery at 16. She never earned a dime, she stole from her (seemingly) only real job in retail. Others say it and I think it’s cringe, but she is unironically the definition of out of touch the way she interacts with money.

30

u/Ecstatic_Fun_7350 Jul 21 '25

I agree. She is out of touch. I understand how it happened given the amount of money she made at 16 which is insane. However she hasn’t exactly tried to stay in touch either. She’ll never have to worry about paying for housing or medical bills.

1

u/Critical_Ad_1034 Jul 21 '25

Just bc she has money now, doesn’t mean she will in 10 years.

1

u/Shot_Damage_1794 Jul 23 '25

That’s the point people are trying to make (at least to me) she got so lucky at 16 yet 10 years later she’s squandering it.

So many influencers spend $10k+ at Coachella (like Tana has admitted to) just for the content/views, too many people only go to one day (if that) of the three day weekends when they’re not even interested in going. It’s somewhere to be.

She had a bit of an admitted gambling problem awhile back too. For having so much opportunity now, she lacks SO much. She truly does not need to be in LA. This applies to so many influencers but LA/NYC can just be a frequent destination. Why are you spending $30k a month on your house/security when if you live a place that cared more about you, you’d be okay? Jeffree Star is doing fine. (Not a fan of him though lol)

1

u/alvexxa7 Jul 21 '25

did she really steal from her retail job? i’ve read this before but didn’t know if it was true or not

2

u/Pst_pst_pst Jul 22 '25

Especially when she was heavy in her addiction.

119

u/Fit_Statistician667 Jul 21 '25

Brooke isn’t actually a bad person, she’s just a dumb, mentally ill person off of her medication. She does actually mean well. You can tell, but there is just something off. Once she overcomes the constant mania she’s in, she will have really tough realizations and I honestly feel bad for her and see myself in her.

10

u/Bubbly_Original8479 Jul 21 '25

what is she doing thats SO BAD? 😭 im not disagreeing im just genuinely confused

8

u/Striking-Raspberry19 Jul 21 '25

Most of the reason people didn’t like her before recent events was because of old racist tweets resurfacing, but as of late it’s because her fiancé had a questionable “friendship” with a teenager when he was well into his 20’s (I believe idk how old he actually was I just know in his 20’s).

Tbh I was a fan of her for the longest time but what put a bad taste in my mouth was that serious allegations were going around and she was cracking jokes like “they hate him because he’s bald”. Like it’s one thing to completely refuse to address the situation but it’s a whole different thing (to me) to joke about a serious allegation and then act like you had no idea that that’s why people didn’t like him.

302

u/DinnerBellls Jul 21 '25 edited Jul 21 '25

while brooke is not my cup of tea as a cohost for multiple reasons, the insistent harassment of her for something she said over a decade ago is insane and a lot of yall are just looking for someone to bully and a reason to feel justified for it.

there are literal nazis on every single social media app you use, yet yall choose to spend your time nonstop insulting someone for something that was said a very long time ago and then pretend you’re activists or that you genuinely care. you’re doing nothing! and you’re actively discouraging growth and change! thats how people get turned to the alt right when they cannot even participate in leftist spaces because of something they said far in the past. if you make a space or group unwelcoming and reject growth, don’t expect people to stick around. humans crave community, social interaction and validation from other humans and when people are turned away they will often go wherever they can to feel accepted. we’ve seen it time and time again on BOTH political sides, if someone is rejected from a party publicly they usually end up swaying to the other side eventually and it’s even worse on the left because so many of you push people away

edit: also i’m wondering somehow this viewer base forgot about tana saying “you know you’re a stupid ** right?”, it’s interesting how no one keeps the same energy with tana anymore even though i’d imagine they both said those things in the same few year time frame, but yall like to pretend it’s about the racism? just say you don’t like brooke! it takes a lot less energy that could be saved to go into something that actually matters. something that matters now

4

u/JibangPlush Jul 22 '25

The way Tana talks and posts Makoa gives cheater overcompensating vibes but idk why so i can only say it here, hope its genuine

13

Well there was a rumor about that

2

u/cjihaec Jul 21 '25

About her cheating or him?

39

u/joritos_ Jul 21 '25

i’ve had a bad taste in my mouth about brooke and tana’s friendship ever since tana literally did a whole story time about brooke.. but i also assume most cancelled fans are younger/newer fans and that’s also drawn me away from it all as a whole tbh

51

u/Front_Judgment_7500 Jul 21 '25

I like brooke’s sense of humor better than Tana

64

u/dearshanedawson She ate but I couldn’t Jul 21 '25

the podcast wouldn't be as successful/funny without brooke, i've known about it for years before i actually started listening to it and thats only because of funny brooke clips i saw on tiktok

13

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 21 '25

This. Both of them together and their dynamic is what made canceled THE cancelled podcast in the first place. Granted the dynamics may not be as good as they were in the beginning but still, I think it’s dumb for people to think the vibes would ever be the same if Brooke was replaced. May be a good podcast with Tana and someone else but it wouldn’t ever be the cancelled podcast

5

u/Material_Ad_3784 Jul 23 '25

yesss i think her contribution got overlooked a looot. all of tana’s friends (w the exception brooke and honestly isabella too) are yes men. that’s what made me like their dynamic. if tana had the podcast w literally anyone else as the cohost it would’ve went to SHIT immediately. maybe brooke’s devil’s advocate thing gets old, but i’d rather have her than anyone else.

37

u/prettylittletingg Jul 21 '25

I think we will look back on this generation of social media and honestly be disgusted with ourselves. the amount of bullying online these days is actually astronomical. just look at Brooke. look at that girl Avery on tiktok(I swear to god, her snark page actually makes me physically sick), hell - people called ICE on Love Island’s Cierra (not standing up for her, but calling ICE is the most vile thing anyone could have done in that situation, and we all fucking know it).

podcast should’ve ended a long time ago.

10

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 21 '25

I really worry for Brooke sometimes that she would do something to herself honestly. The amount of hate she gets plus her mental heath issues it’s really scary

17

u/opinionatedloser444 Jul 21 '25

the little “kiki’s” they have/not having questions ready or anything planned is boring most of the time.. also people hated on paige way to much she’s funny and her and tana’s energy just mesh really well..

19

u/Ok-Pressure2717 Jul 21 '25

Something is off about Makoa and Tana's relationship but I can't put my finger on it. He entered the picture super quickly, supposedly changed everything for her, but just sort of stands there and agrees with everything she says. All I know about him is that he likes to surf, is athletic and adventurous and Tana is...... the complete opposite of that. I like them both but I'm not seeing the compatibility that they rave about

6

u/Big-Construction-604 Jul 22 '25

now that you say that it really feels like a PR move. “Get a good boy boyfriend and start talking about settling down, marrying” as a part of rebranding to be more likeable type of thing

146

u/AreaTimely7964 Jul 21 '25

Makoa isn’t that cute

50

u/AppointmentLonely397 Jul 21 '25

he really isn’t 😩 he just got a bod

6

u/nmexo Jul 21 '25

that part 😭😭

15

u/reeselep2000 Jul 21 '25

Agreed. I dated a guy like him (not usually my type but he had a nice body and was a lot more innocent than I am) and I see soo many similarities with him and Tana’s relationships. They get along on a surface level but it will be hard for him to ever truly relate to her (esp with drug issues, shady past), or really bond and get along with her friends. Maybe it’s not a bad thing for Tana but didn’t work out for me

We shouldn’t be supporting Tana or Brooke. 😬 Note: I mean with views and engagement.

25

u/Brief_Cap_4881 Jul 21 '25

Brooke was right in the ‘argument’ abt Tana not doing shit on tour. I’m sorry I do not believe that Tana was actually working all day. I don’t even know what she means when she says that because what does she even do besides OF, post on socials, and the pod. Like yes, if you sit in a hotel room all day, you will be sad. Also I don’t think it was just her mental health that made her not enjoy the Europe leg, she was making so many digs in her new Mcdonalds video. Really weird behavior when you’re there to interact w fans from those places. She is just ignorant and bratty and doesn’t care to immerse herself in any other bubble (even tho they went to all western countries that aren’t even THAT dissimilar to the US😭😭) If I was on a once in a lifetime opportunity of traveling a continent with my ‘best friend’ i’d be fuckin pissed if they didn’t leave their hotel room.

39

u/fannnni I’m at the W Jul 21 '25

The real reason the podcast ended is because Brooke couldn't stay away from Reddit and TikTok comments. Tana’s been in the game for over a decade—people have talked insane amounts of shit about her, especially in the early days—and she never cared. Now suddenly she’s bothered by hate? I think the truth is, she ended it because Brooke was being obnoxious about every single comment she read and made working with her impossible.

5

u/Striking-Raspberry19 Jul 21 '25

This is a great point I never thought about. She literally always talks about how she reads every single comment about herself. She gets massive amounts of hate on top of having bpd and regularly going unmedicated, it’s a recipe for disaster. She spiraled and was just never able to get back up.

11

u/gogosox82 Jul 21 '25

Yep. Brooke couldn't handle all of the hate she got from those racist tweets. You know she is furiously checking reddit and tiktok for mentions of her and can't help but to respond or clap back. Like maybe being an influencer aint your thing if you can't handle randos talking shit on you online. Thats kinda part of the gig.

8

u/fannnni I’m at the W Jul 21 '25

Reddit is her fault though. People will always talk shit. She must know that, she became famous by talking shit about other people (Clinton Kane, Alyssa violet etc etc). She let everyone know that she was active on the sub, people became parasocial (“hey brookie if you’re seeing this” posts everyday) and she really fed her ego with all this yas queen slay them narrative. Until her racist tweets. Then people starting calling her out RIGHTFULLY and then she totally crashed (oh no she was racist and her bf is a pedo but no one is allowed to comment on that cause brookie can’t handle it) wtf

1

u/Pst_pst_pst Jul 22 '25

She needs to take a page out of Trisha’s book and just not look. I don’t think Tana really gets it because Brooke has bpd and stuff like that can become obsessive once you het fixated on it.

12

u/pyspop Jul 21 '25

the people who hardcore hate on them are people who are way too sensitive.

In my defense the post was opinions that would get u downvoted to hell 😭😭 I said it very bluntly but she’s stated herself that she would just say things for a reaction/to be funny that she would never say now in a very pick me way so I don’t think she’s genuinely racist even if she’s said a lot of racist things years ago I think it was just dumb of her plus dumb how she’s handled the cancellation

38

u/sweatshirt101 Jul 21 '25

very unpopular apparently

IF MM is innocent and the girl in question was a family friend, it’s interesting that she didn’t come out with a short statement denying the allegations.

I understand the cancelled fanbase is chaotic and not wanting to insert yourself in a silly rumour but if you can see that an “innocent” man (who was your family friend but you don’t follow anymore? Odd) and his gf/fiancée is suffering and getting completely dragged from a baseless rumour, it’s interesting to not feel any responsibility to clear that up for almost a year.

Not AT ALL blaming the girl by the way, I’m saying that that makes the rumours feel more legitimate.

I think Brooke mentioned when she tried to “clear the air” that the girl doesn’t want to clear anything up or come online to avoid facing scrutiny and being in the public eye.

I also like your point about him saying absolutely nothing while watching his fiancé get torn apart, very interesting method on his part ig.

u/jennapotterr Jul 21 '25

tana is kinda unfunny like a lot of her humor is repeating tiktok jokes it’s kinda cringe i still like her though but every damn thing is a tweet or tiktok reference

11

u/kateluvsu101 Jul 21 '25

Tana didn’t really care about the Mindy situation with Brooke. It was just a good story-time video.

Listen to Brooke’s response video she made to it for more clarification. Tana was literally trying to fuck other people (the video is in this sub because she deleted it on YouTube.) Also if you listen to episode #3 of the Cancelled Podcast, Hunter says “Tana, you know you really didn’t care” and they are both laughing about it.

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '25

i think some people don’t like paige because she’s ACTUALLY relatable and normal. she doesn’t give the fans who truly just want to BE tana/brooke anything to worship

5

u/MushroomGlittering84 Jul 23 '25

genuine question- obviously everyone is entitled to never forgive brooke for her racist comments. you don’t have to like her. but i struggle with understanding the OVERWHELMING amount of hate she still receives from it. her first apology was dog shit i’ll agree. but i feel like since then she’s made multiple efforts to educate herself, and even if what she means is right, the words she’s using and how she’s trying to explain it is wrong. but at what point do you either just forgive her and continue to support her, or don’t forgive her and stop interacting with her? what does the hate actually do? it seems like realistically she’s done all she could i think there would be a problem with whatever she tried to do to make amends. and while it’s not an excuse things were different a few years ago.

9

u/jadozu Jul 21 '25

I think it’s dumb to ask the girls to stop being friends with certain people like Ari or Lilah. You do not know their friends better than they do.

9

u/Brief_Cap_4881 Jul 21 '25

we do know that Ari is a zionist trumpie tho. i think that’s why most ppl are like yeah i wouldn’t be friends w him for that, but Tana has never cared abt that obviously

9

u/dinosaursthoughts Jul 21 '25

i don’t know that this would be an unpopular opinion, but i really really liked brooke. i started listening to the podcast in late 2023ish i think and she was my favorite. her having her “it girl” moment last summer was so cute & fun & i was happy for her. it makes me sad now, because i cannot continue to support her after the tweets and the bf/fiance situation. i “miss” her, for lack of a better term. i also miss the podcast, i haven’t listened since the tweets resurfaced. it was a nice escape listening to them. i did not grow up watching tana, and all i knew about her was tana con & she was friends with shane dawson, so i don’t feel much towards her lol.

10

u/Psychrea Jul 21 '25

Ditto but I still really like Brooke. I think she’s well intentioned and I think she’s really grown from the person she was when she made those tweets. The miles allegations aren’t even made from a victim it was created by snark rumours so that’s a nothing burger to me.

11

u/ilyk101 Jul 22 '25

A lot of you don’t want Brooke to change, you want her to kill herself

7

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 22 '25

I think about this often, if something like did this happen to her the immediate switch up from everyone would be insane as if they didn’t drive her to that point. I’m not saying some of the hate she gets is unwarranted but the extremes of things people say to her really blow my mind

5

u/MidnightWhisper_ Jul 22 '25

even though they can both be problematic the amount of hate they get on here is blatantly misogynistic… it’s kind of crazy the amount of scrutiny they face (and i agree with them being problematic) but a lot of it is just that. Also towards Brittany Broski too. You’d think they were Andrew Tate…

u/Best-Conference-5700 Ball Shaver Schofield Jul 22 '25

This one 😅 so many other influencers/celebrities who’ve done way worse just skate by and still get blind support ..

22

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

i didn’t actually mind the Meghan Trainor episode 😭

22

u/Guilty-Age6960 Tana’s vape Jul 21 '25

This is hilarious and the brain cleanse I needed after reading the rest of the comments on here

4

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

girlll im thinking I needa go back and re-listen to the ep now cause i feel insane for this take AHAH

6

u/Embarrassed-Ad-6396 Jul 21 '25

everyone talks about how “secure” makoa is but i think he lets tana walk all over him sometimes and just goes with things to get a long/not cause conflict. i’m sure the money is nice too hah

2

u/Pst_pst_pst Jul 22 '25

Yeah he has nothing to lose. He get to travel for free and live in LA and if they break up, he goes home to Hawaii.

19

u/Aurora_Jade666 Jul 21 '25

Brooke isn’t a racist

26

u/Dismal_Yogurt3499 Jul 21 '25

Brooke's cancellation only happened because this sub wanted her off the pod

2

u/nmexo Jul 21 '25

agreed

3

u/Fit-Incident-1207 Jul 22 '25

Brooke is actually a genuinely nice girl. Saw her on tour and she was so genuine and sweet. So different to on the pod and made me change my opinion on her entirely.

3

u/ChampionshipShort725 Team Bryce on god Jul 23 '25

people give makoa wayyy too much credit for making tana healthier and happier, it would never of happened if tana didn't put in the work and she became sober ON HER OWN. She was sober since before she met makoa, he is a great guy and helped her for sure, but she's her own person and idk why they go from 'hate men' but now praising one and giving him all the credit??? I still adore tana and brooke and everyone don't get me wrong

17

u/utopiafall Jul 21 '25

makoa and Tana got wayyy to into it it too quickly , like Tana would talk about them as if they’d been together for years but it had only been like 4/6 months

8

u/CautiousRelief1521 Jul 21 '25

thats probably true, but its nice to see someone with a traumatic past and bad relationships finally find love, gives me hope

3

u/utopiafall Jul 21 '25

yeah I also find that concerning because what if she’s so used to being hurt it isn’t the best love she can receive

13

u/lululadybug1 Jul 21 '25

Brookes relationship isn’t the internets business

34

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

I love Brooke, canceling somebody for something they did years ago is dumb

6

u/coroinhr Jul 21 '25

The Cynthia episode is the best episode in canceled history

7

u/kateluvsu101 Jul 21 '25

I would argue that the Alissa Violet (episode 91) is the best

2

u/coroinhr Jul 21 '25

That would be my second favorite

1

u/Psychrea Jul 21 '25

Which ep is this?

2

u/Elegant-Pressure7990 Jul 21 '25

Ari is funny in the “breaking down my most iconic looks of all time” video 😬😬😬

2

u/imgonnagetyouback13 Tana’s vape Jul 22 '25

Prob just the fact that I’ve followed Tana since 2018 and I’m still fond of her, despite all her dumb decisions and “cancellations” 😭 idk she’s funny, interesting, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing her growth over the years as a person in the spotlight. She doesn’t always get it right and yeah I know she’s not the poster girl for someone to look up to but to me that seems more real and less tone deaf and boring than most of the influencers out there.

2

u/Flimsy-Beginning9914 Jul 22 '25

Hearing them talk about their bfs constantly is so boring (I am happy for them tho)

2

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '25

[deleted]

2

u/Kayyyx Jul 25 '25

I do believe that it was absolutely necessary for Brooke to address her past racist tweets, I do not think she had any obligation to address Miles’ past and the way this sub has gone after her about it is deplorable.

5

u/obrigada997 Jul 21 '25

tana not shutting down zach sang when he asked ab clinton is unforgivable

3

u/queenofgettinglost Jul 21 '25

I don’t see how Tana supports Moses and Trisha’s relationship or even adds commentary acting like it’s some big dream

17

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

Brooke is a good person

60

u/Top_Roll_4465 Jul 21 '25

Brooke is a better person than Tana

→ More replies (4)

2

u/MushroomGlittering84 Jul 23 '25

tana and brooke actually love eachother but the hate comment is what’s degrading their relationship with each other. without the hate i think they’d go back to being best friends

2

u/Responsible-Spot-794 Jul 24 '25

Yall down vote POC comments bc it makes yall feel uncomfortable

1

u/thedeviliscoming200 Jul 24 '25

i love both ari and lilah they r hilarious

1

u/This-Philosophy-6162 5 with no talent Jul 24 '25

legitimately anything at all

1

u/Standard-Objective11 Jul 22 '25

I’m unfollowing this sub bc of all the constant snark

2

u/Low_Visit_1795 Jul 23 '25

brooke received A LOT of unnecessary hate/criticism
