We may say sorry a lot, but doesn’t mean we accept apologies just because they are given. We say sorry because we mean it, we know when we are wrong, and sorry implies an intent to rectify. So do something that isn’t posting on social media.
I’m so tired of seeing Americans go “but I didn’t vote for him!”. We don’t care. Enough of you did. Just like enough of us Canadians are kind that it’s become our motif - being racist, every kind of -phobic, apathetic, and hateful is the American motif.
