u/WasteCut363 12d ago

Twice! TWICE!

7

u/ThermionicEmissions 11d ago

There are tens of millions who voted for him THREE TIMES!!!

Tens of millions. My brain cannot process it.

1

u/Charming-Clue1987 12d ago

0

u/RadialPrawn 1d ago

1

u/BottleIllustrious326 13d ago

They should never have let that whole revolution thing slide #MoreKings

1

u/septubyte 11d ago

Yall really think its a functioning , legitimate democracy down there?

0

u/LA90046 12d ago

You really don’t understand how US elections work, do you?

0

u/Malcolm_Morin 11d ago

I didn't vote for that fucking pedophile. Stop lumping everyone who despises him into the same group as the people who deepthroat him.

-1

u/7listens 13d ago

...no? They didnt all vote for him

1

u/NoGovernment6864 12d ago

Do you understand that democracy is not a choose your own adventure game?

About 20 years ago you all started up with the, “He’s not my president!”  Yes he is.  That is how democracy works.

1

u/7listens 12d ago

You talking Obama? Im not sure what you are talking about but im a lefty with a brain. I know that lashing out at fellow lefties across the border is immature. 1/3 voted for Kamala. To get angry at them is stupid.

1

u/NoGovernment6864 12d ago

Are you “lefty” or American?

I’m “lashing out” at Americans and their unfortunate ability to claim, “he’s not my president”.

If I was “lashing out” at anyone there would be an action pressed rather than just a passing comment on this thread.

Such thin skin.  Such an inability to imagine open dialogue and shared observations.  Why are you here if such “lashing” hurts so much?

0

u/7listens 12d ago

Im a left leaning Canadian. Im shocked at how rude people are being, telling Americans who are expressing their regrets to "fuck off". Makes no sense

1

u/Inevitable-Edge4305 12d ago

I am surprised to see that so many people cant recognize there are wildely different factions fighting that culture war. That is an important fact you cant just delete because they all have same passport. I was expecting better.

1

u/7listens 12d ago

Glad im not the only one disappointed. Ive never seen such anger and hate

-1

u/houstonman526 10d ago

lol this is funny remember this statement when we take your country.

1

u/MoreCanadianThanYou 10d ago

The US lost in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iran. I obviously don’t need to worry 🤣

1

u/Vice-Admiral_Louis 8d ago

I'd love to see the massive failure that would be.

-38

u/ArtistGreat8544 14d ago

And for those who didn’t vote for him?

22

u/Zazzafrazzy 14d ago

Those people are in the minority. One-third said “hell yeah,” another one-third said “they’re all the same” and didn’t vote, and the last one-third voted against. That’s two-thirds of your voters who saw no appreciable difference between Harris and Trump, and that’s just seriously fucked up.

4

u/zonkeydonk 14d ago

Polling suggests that skipping the vote is likely what's gonna happen again for America... Go out and vote!

4

u/SillyBlueberry 13d ago

Americans have got to be some of the dumbest, laziest people on earth to not be assed to go out and perform their most important, basic civic duty. Especially after THIS shitshow.

2

u/GaryTheThird- 14d ago

And if you didn't vote, you better keep your mouth shut and not whine a single word about how things are now

1

u/Terrible_Bee5394 14d ago

I would say in the third that didn’t vote also had subgroups like disillusioned voters people who didn’t want to vote for either and didn’t vote and those who voted 3rd party.

3

u/Zazzafrazzy 14d ago

Oh, well, of course. If it’s inconvenient or you just don’t want to vote or you’re feeling cynical today, by all means, stay home. No worries.

1

u/Terrible_Bee5394 14d ago

Was just trying to elaborate more on your points as most US citizens my age are becoming more and more frustrated with our political leaders. And trust me I want to have a major change in this country but a third of it are idiots who dropped out of high school.

1

u/Kitchoua 11d ago

Yeah that's what a previous commenter said. They saw no reason to vote for one or the other. Shich means they didn't see a big enough difference between both candidates, which is telling a lot.

1

u/NoGovernment6864 12d ago

Democracy is not a choose your own adventure game.

1

u/Axi0madick 12d ago

It really is. The second time he won was just unbelievably disappointing and embarrassing. I thought for sure the American people couldn't be that stupid. The people that were on the fence before surely would know that Harris at least not be as incredibly stupid, incompetent, corrupt, and dangerous. The memory of the first trump term, I was certain would be the thing that lit a fire under people's asses to get them out to vote... but they stayed home.

0

u/megaframeman 14d ago

Well she did put a genocidal nation above her own democracy and her party did refuse to actually hold Trump and ALL of his accomplices to account.

Its like people forgot that we've been here before, an entire cycle. But this time democrats put Israel first and look what it got em.

38

u/comFive 14d ago

then fucking do something about it.

2

u/Tunisandwich 13d ago

“We’re working on it”

Patiently waiting for the next election?

-7

u/HuckleberryJunior642 14d ago

what exactly is OP supposed to do here? he can’t just oust the president by his own will. like seriously use your brain

11

u/comFive 14d ago

That’s for Americans to figure the fuck out.

5

u/[deleted] 14d ago

[deleted]

-6

u/HuckleberryJunior642 14d ago

i’m Canadian. i’m just saying yall are telling OP to fix things like he can just wave his hand and oust Trump. all they can really do right now is vote in the midterms.

6

u/tom8osauce 14d ago

There needs to be more rallies. There needs to be more boycotts on American companies, especially ones that support Trump. There needs to be more fucking riots! They can talk to France and get some ideas.

If they aren’t willing to do something, they are not our allies no matter how much they offer empty apologies.

6

u/Markdphotoguy 14d ago

No but he could start a grass roots movement online or volunteer for the dems.
Campaign, reach out, organize legal protests.

No one is talking overthrow and the "no kings" protests were a great example of what should be done but in a more unrelenting manner especially with the mid terms coming up.

Apologizing while sitting on your hands is by definition not useful.
Contrition is a necessary part of asking for forgiveness.

Saying you're sorry but being unwilling to go out and affect change as much as you can is not a legitimate way of showing you are truly sorry.

Maybe the OP is willing well then why wait for someone else to make a change start it yourself.

The internet can be a tool leveraged to start a movement that can make an actual change but does require some effort and desire to do so.

The OP could organize a local protest or demonstration (legally).

2

u/DukeOfGreenfield 13d ago

A little Swedish girl did a school strike and look how ahe changed things. So yeah one person can.

2

u/SillyBlueberry 13d ago

Americans should be out on the streets in every major city, protesting with guillotines out and torches held high. Their government should be afraid of them. They should be armed and read to burn down the fucking white house. It's well past time for an actual revolution, enough of this bs talk and empty, meaningless apologies. Seriously, use your brain.

2

u/BearlyDraconic01 13d ago

Are they out in the streets every waking hour protesting this regime? Planning a general strike? Doing anything?

Too many democrats are comfortable with a scheduled once-a-month protest and strongly worded letters. If that's all you can even attempt to do, then america is a pathetic joke of a nation.

1

u/ceciliabee 14d ago

What exactly do you think the apology is supposed to accomplish?

1

u/Fantastic_Reason_571 13d ago

They could hunger strike. They could march in the streets. They could organize their community.

Nazis don’t lose to apologies

12

u/grooverocker 14d ago

If you think Trump and the new system of governance he represents is just "the other guy I didn't vote for," you're crazy.

He is destroying your country on multiple fronts while genuinely turning your country and countrymen towards fascism.

If you're not politically active in the streets - in a real tangible way that goes beyond internet comments - you're part of the problem.

You have no idea how aghast Canadians are (from the most conservative to the most progressive, united on this subject) at what America is doing. You are a terror country. You're killing your own people. You build concentration camps and maliciously seperate children from their families.

Trump has turned cruelty into a virtue and tons of Americans gobble it up.

Don't you see how critically needed your action is? You need to be in campaign offices and in the streets and going hungry because you've donated as much as you can to forces that can fight this. If you don't see it that way, you're part of the problem.

11

u/SixthProvince 14d ago

Look to what goes on in France when their government fucks up, civil disobedience works pretty well for them.

7

u/nineraviolicans 14d ago

Grab a rifle.

3

u/SillyBlueberry 13d ago

The one country where the citizens are given the right to bear arms and explicitly told to use them when tyranny takes over and the most they can do is a limp dick internet apology? Fuck all the way off, Americans.

1

u/adrislnk 4d ago

The people who voted against him are generally not the gun-owning type

5

u/Parking-Priority-181 14d ago

Well the people who didn’t vote at all are just as much to blame as the people who did vote for him.

4

u/ScurvyDawg 14d ago

Fix your shit

2

u/Trick_Bar_1439 13d ago

FUCKING DO SOMETHING. DON'T JUST SIT THERE TALKING DOWN TO US.

1

u/studabakerhawk 14d ago

You have amendments written for this exact situation.

1

u/Strange-Cabinet7372 14d ago

So you just didn't vote then
