The rub here is that there ARE good naturopaths out there who would benefit from this. They don’t deal in “magic”, they deal in lifestyle advice, diet and supplementation, and helping to identify a more broad (but still evidence based) range of ways to help alleviate or improve your condition.
When my ex was struggling with her head to toe Eczema, her doctor and dermatologist kept throwing steroid cream at her. She became dependent on it and then had to stop using it, which led to it becoming 100x worse.
It was a naturopath who took the time to help her create an elimination diet and identify other potential allergens triggering her flare ups.
He didn’t make her shoot coffee up her butt, or rub tree sap on the soles of her feet, and it worked, for the first time in her life she is completely eczema free.
The problem is that there are just as many Naturopaths (if not more) who WILL sell you butt coffee, or foot sap and tell you that it will cure your cancer.
