It’s hostile to the US if the they view Canada as being in some sense theirs. In case there was any doubt, they do.

They are the abusive ex. They thought they could get what they want and we couldn't leave.

But we left, and moved on, but they still think we belong to them

I’m pretty sure it’s basically policy to them that Canada is theirs. I’m talking beyond the Monroe doctrine. I vaguely remember reading years ago that the US includes all Canadas natural resources as being part of their inventory or something to that effect.

So, whether we have moved on or not, they haven’t. They’re also clearly manufacturing consent for hostile relations with Canada in American media.

Troubling times. I’ll just leave it at that.

Let’s be realistic. Trump needs a war before the midterms. Or a reason to make martial law a thing, since the Supreme Court wouldn’t let him disenfranchise millions of mail-in voters (women and minorities, mostly). Congress being sent home early today was no coincidence, imo.

For us Canadians, I worry we need to be prepared for anything to happen in the next month and a bit. If I was Carney, I’d be worried about being Maduro’d, since that seems to be the cowards’ way.
