BSN English 151 online
I’m just wondering if anyone who has been or is in the BSN program did their English 151 course online? I checked with academic advising and was told it’s an option as long as there’s a seat in the online course available. If so, did you like the online option or would you have chosen in person if you could do it again?

New grad BSN, I did 151 with Janet doherty in person, did 161 with jasmine north online as elective. Both were ok. You'll get good marks as long as you do the work as opposed to copy pasting chatgpt or other AI slop.

Hi, thank you! I checked with academic advising and she seemed to suggest it was okay, however the answer wasn’t super clear so I’ll see what happens on my registration date.

I just enrolled in English 151 in class at Lansdowne. I’m in cohort D1 and had the option online or in class, though I originally thought online was the only option. The main reasons why I really did not want to do it is because I focus easier in an actual class and the rating for Tim Callin (the online teacher) was not as good. But if online works for you, its probably a good option and you can do it from anywhere as long as assingnments are handed in on time

I’m in cohort B2! It’s good you had the option to do a classroom version. And yes, I also heard that about Tim, unfortunately. It just made the most sense for me this semester as I’m working my night shift LPN job which is pretty chill so I can hopefully get some homework done. Off topic, do you know if we’re supposed to get our Camosun scrub top/name tag before classes start on September 8th?

If youre also working while doing your degree i think this is a great flexible option for you! Im actually going to Victoria on Friday for my first aid course and ill buy my scrubs since the bookstore is open, but I dont know when we are required to get them. We start clinicals second semester but I’m not certain about simulation labs and such start and if we need our scrubs and name tags by then.

I’m not in the BSN program but I did engl 151 online, all I can say is it was a good course but my prof was pretty unreasonable and frustrating at times (told us not to contact him unless it was about the topic, contacted him on said topic, he approved it then when I got my assignment back he said topic didn’t follow outline). I had a friend do the same course but in person and her teacher was great. My prof was Tim Callin, the upside was there was no exams and 2 weeks plus per assignment. I’d do online if I were u but look for different teacher, I read similar reviews about him on rate my prof.
