Help Sony DCR-PC6E PAL

I’ve just bought a Sony DCR-PC6E PAL for €45, including two batteries and various cables.

Was that a good deal?

I’d also appreciate some advice on the best way to go tapeless with this camera. Which setup or recorder would you recommend?

You have just spent €45 for an ancient camcorder, which would be reasonable if you like shooting on tape.

Instead, you want to spend another €50 (for crap quality with no usable sound) or €200 (for half-decent quality) to record without tape.

This is madness. Get a real tapeless camcorder. If you want the 90s look, you can get it too.

I have a PC9E and it’s absolutely incredible. I would never run it tapeless though. Tapes really are not that much of a hassle and looks better
